Had the exact same issue when in Tenerife a couple years ago. Couldn't figure out a workaround. I opted to disable automatic time zone and set it manually.

Have you tried the toilet trick? If you let the phone sleep in the toilet, the water will not let it sync with a time server. Just remember to remove it before you take a dump.

Wait let me get this straight, if you set timezone to say England, you will get the correct time, but websites won't open?
How the hell do they know you're not in England?
PS. We have a time zone difference of 2.5ish hours in my country and still we use GMT +5:30, all of us.

Ha just landed in Barcelona. Everything will be OK for a month or so.
He lives near Alicante? I'm not staying in Barcelona long. Going to Potugal and then Bulgaria. Just wanted to split the fights up. Only in Barcelona till 1st Aug. But still, at least I got the right time zone.

I also need a solution for this shit, but for desktop. But my issue is little different, my pc time always reset when i shutdown my pc.

No it's fine, I'm glad someone else feels the pain of the struggle I'm going through. I actually thought with a lot of Americans here, and having multiple time zones, a lot of people will have come across this issue here, and had an answer.
Gran Canaria is the same. All the Canaries are GMT. I have been to Gran Canaria a few times, didn't think too much of it. Apart from it has good beaches with huge dunes. Tenerife is quite a nice size to not get too bored. The main resorts in Gran Canaria are not that big, or nice either.

I'm going to Portugal on the 1st to the 10th, then I'm going to Bulgaria for time unknown. Then I was thinking about stopping in Spain again on the way back from Bulgaria, probably nearer to September. So I could do in a couple of weeks or so. But if I take too much time in Bulgaria, I may just go straight home, as my parents come to visit some time September.
Is Alicante your nearest Airport? I have a funny feeling I can only fly from Sophia to Barcelona, maybe Malaga or Valencia.
San Javier airport is closest, Alicante might be good for Bulgaria though.
