Overview:
My hard work is starting to pay off - I'm seeing a sharp increase in traffic, sales, and ROE (Return on Effort as @BassTrackerBoats calls it). I still havent really invested SEO. I need to start investing in this site. The site has so much more work to do, its unbelievable. However, things are seriously picking up.

Word of advice - Work smart. Find good keywords, Optimize your site, write long, helpful content, and hustle hard.

Within the next month or two, I expect to see this project generating a high three-figure, low four-figure income as its getting close to that already.



Goals for this month:
-Optimize site better (might need to move to a dedicated server or managed hosting)
-Figure out a 6-month SEO gameplan (offsite) -
-Focus on Enhancing on-site SEO

#6.5 Update

Alright, I'm too excited to wait until the end of the month to post an update.

Over the past few weeks, I've been busy migrating my site to a new server (and setting up the server [reddis,varnish etc]), setting up a CDN, and a few other speed boosters. I've been able to reduce the load time from 5.5 seconds to under 1 second . Also, i setup SSL on my server and setup amazon OneClick (although i dont know if its actually working lol).

There were quite a few hickups in traffic over the past week while i was learning how to setup my server and setting up ssl . I'm still recovering in terms of sales for this migration.

Update #2.5

** had to write 3k-4k words per day for a client, didnt really write much for the website so far this month.
​

• I've grown comfortable with writing a minimum of 1 post per day for the site. It doesn't take to long and its kinda fun.
• I started doing some minimal offsite SEO for the site. I've been spying on competitor links and stealing what i can. I've compiled a huge list of competitor links that i'm dripping daily (1-5 quality links per day).
• Once i get some extra $$, i'll be investing in a few press releases.
• I'm in the process of scraping expired Web 2.0's currently. will slowly drip those out in the future.
• Each post is targeting 1-3 super longtail keywords (20-100 searches per month) while also targeting some larger kw.

While im still writing daily for the site, i'm focusing more on the SEO side of things. Now, its more of a waiting game as long as i can stick to this routine of adding content daily and making a few manual backlinks. I've got an elaborate SEO gameplan down the road, and will talk about that in a few months.

Well done, OP. That is some serious churning out of content. The only way I could do something like that is if I was "passionate" about the niche, not merely something that could possibly make me a few bucks down the line. And of course, sadly, I think many of the cool niches/keywords that you could write for hours on are going to be very hard to rank for.

So on a scale of 1 - 10 how passionate are you about the niche?

yo @irishengteacher im somewhat passionate but i im more into the "making money" part about it. I've hit rock bottom a few times in IM and now i work my ass off and dont really think about passion too much. Its strictly a numbers game and disciplining myself to not give up and make the project successful.

I've moved the site to a much faster and heavy-duty sever and have setup the site's foundation for massive growth. I'm hoping by the end of the year to see 3k a month consistently.
