Why not Sendy + AWS SES? It's a lot cheaper + you have control over your data and other benefits.

I work with mailchimp and aweber for blackhat stuff (150k subscribers atm). Both of them are good so far...using them for 2 years now.

No, its not my gig, I don't work for $5.
I would rather pay $5 and spend my time on other things.

IMHO, best is Mailchimp.
You can also get a free acc there with 2k subscribers and 12k submissions per month.

Mailchimp has been pretty strict with the content they allow in my experience.
AWeber has been much more lenient, but they also have a clunky UI, and some strange pricing based on the number of subscribers you have loaded.

I 2nd the Sendy + SES option. There are some alternatives to Sendy as well if you find the set up is a hassle, like Email Octopus and MailZak, which are doing essentially the same thing by giving you an interface to send campaigns on SES from.
