You know they eat squid over there.

You ever tried it?

I could never eat squid. It's my favorite animal. I'd feel like I was eating a puppy.

Everything about Japanese culture is strange and frightening.

Like the opposite of British culture. Which is boring and predictable (at least when people aren't axeing each other in the necks in the streets).

Give @Sherbert Hoover his 5 dishes to try then, see if he will rise to the challenge!!:D

What area you working in? Anywhere near the Midlands or Staffordshire and I'll pop in and try some of your damn fine food
If he comes over to our side of the pond he's more than welcome!

I'm in east sussex, bit too far I suspect for pub food, lol.

I already hate the accent. I could only imagine if I was surrounded by it.
I feel the same way about a few 'murican accents too.

UK is the only country i'll willingly live in here in europe.

Squid is fucking delicious. especially served as tempura squid.

I'd love to live in japan for a year or so in the future.

All American accents are ugly.

I have an infamous Chicago accent. I sound like a fucking tool.

But at least we got the food right.

Lmao :D:D

I like Japanese culture. From over here. In America. Where I can walk away from it when I'm ready.

They have squid flavored oatmeal. You know how Quaker sells variety packs of instant oatmeal over here? Japan has squid flavored oatmeal.

Mmmm, yummy.

Omg. I can't. I just can't. I see their little tentacles and I freak out and start weeping and screaming "WHYYYY SEMPAI?! WHYYYY?!"

No, I'm j/k. But I could never. The thought of it just does something to me.

I can't eat seafood either. Shellfish are creepy.

That made me laugh. Although if you ever see the females in the UK who appear on Jeremy Kyle ( Think Jerry Springer, but 10x worse) you'll sound quite posh probably.

For the Americans on here, wanting further proof about eating habits......

chicago accent isnt as bad as dutch/american mix accent though which is what i'm stuck with, I sound fucking silly.

you didn't get food naming right though, deep dish pizza is not a goddamn pizza its lasagna cake (or pie), calzone doesnt go around calling itself pizza and neither should deep dish.

Even the really bad UK accents are attractive to me. Idk man. Maybe I'm mentally deficient but tbf I love almost every foreign accent.

Almost.

Lmao dude our city burned down once bc a cow kicked over an oil lamp. Do you really think we can handle something like naming food?

It's freaking delicious though. And, tbh, most people outside of Chicago get the food wrong. We have tons of imitators and all of them are poor.

Lmao

Egg cups are not found in common American households.

And yes, some of us DO have kettles. We're not all savages. We have two and my grandmother has three. People who drink a lot of tea do have kettles here.

But then again we don't just drink hot tea. I have boiled my tea on the stove in a pot before but it's usually to make iced tea or sun tea.

If I'm drinking hot tea, I'm using a kettle and a tea cup like a normal human being.

Wait WTF? how do they survive without kettles? do they seriously boil water in a pan like barbarics for coffee/ramen/tea?
and how dont they have eggcups? everyone has them, they just show up.

all deep dish pizzas have been crap that I've tried, if I ever find myself over there I'll try the real thing, still a shit name though.

Yeah, you grow up eating pig intestines and see how open you are to other foods.

We have kettles, as I explained before. They just aren't common, like egg cups.

Hey don't try deep dish on my account. Everyone doesn't get it right and I am the first to admit that certain foods are only delicious to people in that culture/region. Deep-dish pizza is probably one of them.

My stance wasn't aggressive. You took it that way. I wasn't being any more sarcastic than I usually am.

You've seen me tear into people before. You'd know if I were being aggressive.

My humor is sharp and sarcastic. And like I said before, I will talk about anyone on this planet. My snark is not limited to people or food from a specific country and no one is exempt from it. Not even my friends and family. I treat you all equally.

But it doesn't matter now, does it?

@Sherbert Hoover I love the accent, your son has a skillet face and don't do it it's a trap.

Ok fair enough. I'll admit I judged you wrong & I would like to apologise if I said anything out of order to you.

Just to set the record straight though I didn't and certainly don't now have any problems with your opinions or gender.

We good now?;)

Yeah. Now let's go back to making fun of how unsophisticated Americans are.

Do you guys use ramekins?
