Probably not.

From what I have heard/read from others, .[countrycode] TLDs (.us, .de, etc.) may be helpful when making a geo-targeted website (e.g., you only care about traffic in one particular country). My companies/sites are all global / unaffected by region, so haven't tested that personally.

At best the impact of the TLD would be negligible. Pick whatever TLD you actually want not what might-potentially-in-theory-possibly give you a negligible boost. A TLD's impact on usability/branding is way more important than the impact on SEO.

Google said officially that all TLDs will be treated equally.

But that's not how websites treat them. For example, .info sites are usually spam, so websites automatically block them or mistrust them.

there's no specific benefit of TLD, unless its local targeted.

Geo TLD works better for local keywords.

while other factors constant then, for "payday loan" keyword.
Paydayloan.in will rank better than paydayloan.com in india.
