Monetizing a large Quotes page

Has anyone out there worked with monetizing a quotes page before? I currently have a page which is quote-related and several years old. It just crossed over the 1 million like/follow mark (100% real) and I would think it should be sending much more traffic into my website than it currently does.

I have a page half as big which sends in more than twice as much as this page. My biggest reasoning for this has come down to the fact that since quotes are just quick images people may not care to "click" off a website for them. My normal posts are basically a quote image, but actually a link which will take them to the website. This normally drives some traffic, but nothing spectacular (some links will still get a coupe hundred likes over an hour or two).. I've also tried posting other things related to the niche (for example, a marriage topic on a love quotes page) but still don't find the type of traffic I would expect from this size.

Any ideas, suggestions or thoughts about the best way to increase click rates on a page targeting a topic where people don't really have a need for clicking off Facebook? I've spent time looking at other quote pages and am surprised by how many large pages sit there and post nothing but images. Not a single link for weeks...

If you are looking to monetize it, look for some Affiliate programs. You will hav to manually find them as there aren't many and some are not available on major cpa neteorks

You'll want to get creative and try various things. One thing I can think of is starting a poll website that asks random questions and collect emails from them. Then, use those emails to send out affiliate offers and more quotes. You may also consider partnering with one of these FB quizzes/poll companies -- they are making BANK. Not sure what a partnership would look like, but that's probably your target audience.

I am running also a quotes page for German audience. From my experience this is a nice audience for books about success stories. They love it. It works for my page very well so it would be also work for your page.

Yeah, u need to find specifically ads that people looking at quotes will be interested in. Mainly self-improvement etc. I would imagine
(Given the fact that they are inspirational quotes- which was the first thing that came to my mind).

A basic example would be to post TV Show/Movie quotes alongside promoting Amazon links, online streaming services, merchandise.
Find which type of quotes perform best, and find an affiliate offer related to that niche and promote it alongside your content.

You can also generate traffic by posting viral news/videos/articles relating to inspirational stories, and monetize via Adsense
