If you dig down farther into the info, they do say that you can block out the personal information that they don't need -- social security number, drivers license number, etc. They mostly need to see name and maybe address along with the photo on an official id. So you should still be able to hide any information that wouldn't be findable in the phone book anyway before you upload it. (I'm just another user, not a FB employee, so please don't get mad at me for their policies.)

Hey there guys, obviously Im here since I am facing exactly the same problem as most of you. I was reading all pages and then I thought - what if we make a little group which would try to bypass this photo vertification. I mean like making fb accounts getting them banned and then trying all kind of methods to unlock it. I guess it will go much better if we all work together, we have the same goal, dont we?
