This sorta reminds me of the show this week called shark tank.
Not sure if anyone saw it but some man was trying to pitch a idea of a car that does not start until the seat belt is on.

Well, How can someone make this happen when they have no clue what it is? I want to improve car safety. I have a stable job in medicine.

I see this as an investment and future investment for my love ones. With the economic crisis we're facing today I need to think of how I can take care of my love ones financially and safely.

Like many of those who have successful businesses or corporations I want to be on their same page when it comes to positive thinking and ideas.

I am currently setting up an appointment with an patent attorney this week to discuss my product and idea.

Again I envision my product in every vehicle.

And Yes I know the doubts will continue to be written but think about it for a moment... What if my product was so successful, car manufacturers implemented my product in their vehicles and someday my product saved your life or a love ones life? How would that make you feel?

I'm not kidding about this. This is real. There is nothing like my product Ladies and Black hat Gents!

It's really starting to sound like you are trying to spam/sell your product to us here in the forum. You keep saying, "There is nothing like my product", (once again, you don't have a product).

Your OP started off by saying that you really have no idea where to start or what to do.

In another post you said you were speaking with an attorney. I suggest you do that and stop wasting our time.

I would have not rolled my eyes before reading the post had the tsmile typed in: millionaire... but billionaire? Do you have a concept of what a billion is? Do you realize how hard it is to make a million? Let alone a billion? You just lost all of your credibility and no one will take you seriously. You are what 18-22 age range?

How many genius ideas and inventions never make it onto the shelves of stores?

I think you should come back down to earth and learn the value of the dollar and get serious. My advice: slow down... reassess the viability and market for your product with an unbiased eye so you don't get screwed... don't go running to a patent service, take your idea to a product development/marketing firm, they are out there to give you their professional opinion--that would be money better spent.

Good luck either way... none of us are better than you, but some of us are just smarter. Listen to the wise.

You need some kind of prototype or complete schematic patents are not issued on concepts.

it it's a device that won't allow the car to start without the seat belt being buckled, someone beat you to it. A friend just brought that up days ago about the inventor. there was just a story on it. I guess you could patent the "car won't start without a first aid kit.." I think that one is still available. :D

Well, trust me that's not the idea. But once my idea is patented I'll be sure to share it. That way it'll all make sense why my product will do so good and why it'll irresistible to car manufacturers.

For those who have given useful advice thank you very much. I'll look into them.
 
This idea was just mentioned on the show SharkTank... Hardly the OPs idea if this is it.

Having said that, the 'inventor' on the show copied it from the cars that convicted drunk drivers are forced to drive. Which have a system forcing them to breathe into a breathalizer before starting the vehicle.
