Fiverr Pro is HORSE SHIT.

Guys who were selling logos at $100 outsourced at Fiverr for $5 will now be sort of arbitrage gigs to the guys who sell "pro" gigs for $2k per logo.

$2k logo pro HQ fancy guys will buy from $100 logo guys (as they don't want crappy $5 one) and $100 logo guys who outsource their work for $5 still to their regular guys. So everyone will be happy. But customers. But hey, as long as they are happy with their $2k logos who are we to complain?

So $5 gigs will never die. :D

I would be surprised if there were any real people behind those gigs, its probably Fiverr doing an arbitrage selling them for 4 grand and buying them for that guy for $150 lol

Seriously though Fuck fiverr in so many ways! They have really turned me off over the last few weeks.

I have been saying this for a while now. Raise your prices and niche yourself, and your competition drops down to near zero. Writers who charge $1+ per word have to beat clients off with a stick. But people would rather service low-end clients bc you get a ton of orders. They don't stop to think you can make $3-10k+ per project if you just raise your prices.

Although Sherbert has a point. Those logos are fucking awful. They aren't even worth $4, let alone $4k.

I have two graphic designer friends. They do my designing for me. I pay them $150+ per hour, and that's considered cheap in their line of work. But the logos blow my socks off, so I'm happy to pay whatever they ask for.

Oh yeah there is a huge market for low end stuff. You get more orders, but then you're busting 5k+ words a day and just killing yourself to put words on the screen. lol IMO the middle market is dying off. The low end cheap junk remains, because just look at all the bst stuff here with buyers who think that junk is great? But there is a market that is high end where expertise is required. My goals are to bill 20 hours a week and that's it. The middle market did great pre-Panda, but from watching those who complain that they can't find work, I think it's these people with no real skills that have no serious expertise in anything who are being killed off. They can't compete with the cheap people. Perfect grammar and spelling aren't really selling points and it's a ridiculous thing to promise, and they can't demand the higher expertise rates.

I did read the piece on the Fiverr chick doing resumes and making $40k/month. I had to stop and read it twice, because I thought "shit I am doing something wrong here." LOL She mentioned her prices though and that she works 30-60 hour weeks. If you crunch some numbers, you can see that it's probably closer to the 60 hours per week. I don't want to work that many hours with writing. I have 2k words in me a day and that's it. After that it's burnout and I need me time. So I price accordingly and I even think I'm on the cheaper side.

I'm thinking about getting into something other than writing though. I'm pretty tired of it and bored even though it's a great, non-stressful way to make a living.

Buying cheap logos is risky if you are a real business. Most of those people use free clipart, so the logo is junk or they steal trademarked images. I've seen two businesses get sued for infringement after buying logos from fiverr.

Me tinks this offers a new arbitrage opportunity to leverage.... rubs ni... I mean palms together slowly.

Hmm that was weird.

What Fiverr is doing to their own marketplace is wrong.
People go there for cheap services, serious buyers wanting to buy $4k logos would go to a dedicated design/marketing company.

Right okay then.

Those fucking designs look like a drunkards scribbles after a heavy night out.

I don't know what is worse... The arseholes ripping idiots off, or the idiots being so dumb that they pay for this crap.

I have been informed that this thread is already ranking at the bottom of page one for "https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/fiverr-pro-is-horse-shit.952655/" in the US Google market.

This is bullshit, create a logo that takes 10 minutes to create (if even) and get a money for 4 months of living. (taking about that 4k$ logo). I doubt anyone gonna pay for it.

What's even better is the fact that Fiverr screwed up their whole website in May when they started implementing this program. I was a seller making over $1000 in sales per. month, now I make $100 per. month because of the way they altered the search engine algorithm to promote gigs like this. Bullshit man, bullshit.
