Let's say you want to promote a product called "The Big Diabetes Lie", some weightloss program..
Would you name your review site something like "Thebigdiabetesliereview.com" or is it okay if my site name is just e.g. Veganada.com (Just an old domain I got)

And is it even worth trying in the weight loss niche..

go with brandable domain.

I would say that could turn into an expensive gamble very quickly if you did that for every single product you promoted...personally, what I recommend is to create your own site for each general genre that you want to promote in (e.g. health related, IM related, etc) and within that site (or blog) create a blog post or page for your review of each product in question..if it's a dud you've lost nothing and can delete the page...if it's a success it can be promoted on your home page, etc...

just my two cents

Yes, I agree with the poster above. It depends. If you are into churn and burn campaigns, then you will want to target the product name keyword itself, with the exact match domain. The problem with targeting product name keywords like these is the product name keywords itself is short-lived. After the launch week, you will realize that your traffic and conversions start to decline.

But, if you want to build a business for longer term, then find a domain name that reflects your niche, rather than the product name keywords itself.
