any other possibilities besides gmail and fb accounts?
Just a little example
I have some competition that has been spamming a web 2.0 property. I noticed he was ranking for a ton of long tail keywords in multiple niches. Usually he is on the first page of Google for a lot of keywords.
By looking into what he is doing.
He creates a profile at web 2.0 property adds 30 articles in a matter of minutes.
Then he is spamming certain properties that do not require a captcha. These properties might be low value but this guy is ranking for a lot of stuff and Yahoo usually has him with anywhere from 200-1200 backlinks.
I can create a script for creating the web 2.0 property. If I am not ready to tackle the captchas then I do this manually. After the account has been created a simple macro can be used to create 30 keyword/pages per account. Depending on the speed of the website, my connection, how I set up the macro, it should be able to post those 30 articles in 8-30 minutes. This can really vary.
The main thing is while it is doing that I am on my other computer doing something else. This same macro can grab the keyword title I am using and the url of the page to give me a list in whatever format I want. a href= format or just a list to be used for something like pingomatic. Which another macro can be used at pingomatic.
Myself I like to put it into a file with as a list of URLs in href= format.
Now looking at the sites this guy is spamming I get my own list with a url harvester. I try to identify a common pattern in the sites. Hopefully the majority has the same look so I can build a macro to post my links from above list.
This macro goes down my url harvest list. Submits my web 2.0 sites.
Goes to the next site on the list. If a site is not compatible or has a problem you can build exception handling into the macro that increments the variable to go to the next website on your url list.
With all the exception handling you can build into it you might skip the occasional site or it occasionaly doesn't post correctly but literally you can have the macro running on a spare computer all day long getting you links to web 2.0 properties.
I am still learning and not ready to handle the captchas yet, but the above just shows you an example of what it can do.
