I guess my opinion differs on them. I got a (completely fake, made-up) DMCA complaint and instead of investigating it, they closed my hosting right down.

Sucks that they would take the word of a stranger (with no evidence) than their own clients.

That is not true. We used a data center that told us that they didn't care about dmca requests. So when we started up with them everything was the complete opposite. We decided at that point to terminate our contract with them. We take dmca requests seriously and we require pretty hard proof prior to a shutdown. I am sorry that you were misled to believe something different.

For php hosting get a cheap droplet on DigitalOcean. Directly from the datacenter owner, not a reseller. I highly doubt you will find something reliable on the market place since most are resellers.

AWS released Lightsail also if you want reliability, CDN, etc all at the same place.

Yes DigitalOcean is a good choice but now i found some providers like OVH or Online.net
I see they are offering better packages with good prices.
