We're working as broker for few builders and use their brand name as domain.
I have recently been to trademarked issue by one of builder i work for. They asked me to take down the site.

I did to a new domain by setting up proper 301, submit to address change on webmaster tools, Tho, previous site is still not out of search result.

Now, builder is asking me transfer the domain to them, as they are our main client i can't oppose their will, (ofcouse its important for our business)

Now, i'm still not sure, if its alright to transfer the domain to builder, as there's not yet complete previous authority transferred to new domain. (its just been 3 days)

What if builder will get the site live with their own content?
Is this the end of my traffic and sales? (as this were my main site which is generating most of revenue)

Can anyone tell me the best option to keep previous traffic and raking to new domain as well ? or do i need to start from scratch ?

Help Appreciated

Your question is terribly confusing... are you asking whether you have to transfer it to them?

huh?

It sounds like the situation is this: Your company (x) works with company (y) and you registered a domain that was the name of company (y). Do you also have a domain for your own company? What kind of traffic is this new domain getting? If it's their trademark it will be hard to monetize it, but if it's bestbuilders.com or something similar, you can probably avoid a trademark lawsuit...

Though it seems kind of weird that you would pick up one of your clients domains.... either way if it's a new domain you have to wait 60 days to transfer anyway.

If this site earn you most revenue just keep it and refuse them. But they may end up taking it further. You need to keep that domain to yourself to keep ranking of your new site.

You took one of your client's trademarks and used it? WTF?

he haven't had trademarked before. And, he was happy as i was giving him more sales. But Property builder company got trademarked and asking me to transfer my well ranked website.

I did changed my domain and 301 older to new one. The problem is, he's asking me to transfer the old domain, that gonna cost me lost in ranking

You didn't have a contract or anything? If the new company does own the trademark then there's nothing you can do.

Find a lawyer and see if you have any rights to the previous legal arrangement.
