Hi everyone, which techniques would you consider as grey hat seo? How would you define PBN and link building? i hope this is the right section to post..thank you!

PBN = super black
link building = from white to black

IMO, Doing black hat without getting caught is called Grey hat.
PBN will come under the same category if you get caught doing this it will be categorized into black hat otherwise it can be called as grey hat

IMO there is no such thing as white hat or grey hat. If you are trying to rank your website for personal gains then you have already broken the google guidelines.

The point is not getting caught. That is all I would be concerned with. There is no point doing what people class as grey hat if it makes 5% of what black hat yields.

Not sure you will find any experts here mate.

Any intentional SEO (linkbuilding) breaks ToS of Google and is thus considered black hat.

Some onsite stuff and keyword densities are fine, but that won't get you far.

Grey hat lies somewhere between buying expired domains and spinning other people's content. I wouldn't really take such classifications at face value because what is grey today may be black tomorrow. Blackhat includes any type of link building that you are trying to pull for personal gain be it PBNs, paid links or automation software such as GSA.

The vast majority of link types are gray hat whereas those defiant link building efforts are considered black hat. As for white hat, does it really exist?
