Till a few years ago I used to push some grams. And I think that some of the things I learned while selling illigal goods can be some lessons for internet marketing. Both are basicly sales in one way or an other if you will.
I see a lot of people trying to optimize the marketing strategy, this is good to make sales ofcourse. But when your product is good.. people will come to you. When the word goes around that you have good shit, all of the sudden you will get more sales then you can handle (I had so many people blowing my phone up that I could not deliver as much people wanted) this might sounds weird to you now, but it can be applied to everything. Look at the best restaurants there are. You have to book a table months in advance. Otherwise you won't get in! Try to get the best product in your niché and get the word around. If it gives value you will get the sales because people really want it!
When the word goes around, you will get more abundance in your mindset. You can set your terms and if someone doesn't agree you can tell them to fuck off. Same for internet marketing sales. Most people try to get some customers in and are dying to make sales. This will result in more chargebacks and I don't have to explain to you why this is bad.
Assume the birden of the sale. Because you know your product is good and people really want it. Your sales pitch will be a lot easier to do. In your mind you don't care if you make the sale (abundance) and you have nothing to lose and can walk away easier. You know you will make the sale.
Margins are everything. This only applies to people selling products. But the most important thing when buying and selling is the margins you will get. Try to get at least 10% ROI when you flip items or it won't be worth it. The beter the ROI the better. Always look around for better margins and when it is more scars you and you make more sales you can put your price up.
Scale it up! Probably the most important step of them all. I started with buying 5 grams and selling it. With the profit I bough more grams and so on. Always try to look for ways to scale it up. Instead of blowing the money on hookers and strippers (like I did after I quit) invest it back in. From those 5 grams I later on was able to sell bricks. Only because I was always looking to scale things up. What is the point of trying to start with something if it won't improve. The more you scale it up the more ROI you will get.
Disclaimer: I do not recommend selling drugs. It is a terrible idea. But I wanted to share something to the community I think will help in internet marketing aspects aswell. What is overlooked. In those 4 years pushing I went trough a lot of shit and All I can say is. stay away from the streets. Scale up your IM business as I hope to do too soon. And stay away from drugs exept for weed.
