Is it a waste to use PBNs to point branded, url and generic anchors at our money sites?

No OP, Brand anchors and naked urls do work really good.

Why would it be a waste? People should finally understand, that difference between "branded" and "exact match" anchors from PBN does not make too much of a difference. People tend to use brand and URL anchors with shittier links and save exact and partial for PBNs, which is nonsense.

If you have 50 PBN links, all with exact match anchors, you would need good 4-5K (depending on niche) backlinks to have a good exact match anchor ratio. Stop overthinking anchors, use brand and URL anywhere you want. Impact on ranking is not THAT significant, especially compared to overoptimisation penalties that you can get if you overdo it.

No it's not a waste - you should definitely be doing it!

Using URL and brand makes it easier for competitors to find your PBN!

if your content is good, target and related and your expired strong ist should pop up top 100 anyway. if not, you fckd up somwhere.

100% agree. bolded the most important.

however, in my tests , using brand/url/ just "takes a bit longer", compaired to keyword anchors. but "slapcity" is rare.

Not a waste at all, a link from a pbn is a link regardless f the anchor text it carries.

OP, definitely not a waste. Best practice is giving variations to your anchors.
