Hey, what's up? Some input would be great if you have some knowledge about FB Ads.

Here's my dilemma:
I was running 5 different products on 5 different Ad Sets.

I didn't have any sales. Products are so, so.

I'm selling dog products on a pretty well designed webshop.

Now, for targeting I've used couple of interest sets.

First: Magazines about Dogs
Second: TV shows about Dogs
Third: Famous Dog people like that Dog Whisperer guy
Forth: Some good Pages about Dogs, Puppy Love and what not..

Now, when you cross all those interests I got a "Fairly broad" audience of a little bit over 1m of people.

My question is, in your opinion, is my targeting good? Should I continue testing products on this Audience or switching an audience is also important?

Also, I've got only about 150 likes on my page. Should I focus first on post engagment and getting page likes before continuing with product Ads?

How are you guys doing those post engagement ads?

Any help is appreciated,
Thanks
Miksi

Edit:

One more question: For how long should I let one Ad going before shutting it down? On a 5$ budget for an Ad, a day, is 24h enough before shutting it down if I didn't get any sales (or maybe less then, uhmm, 2-3)?

Thanks again!

try filtering to one region.
Though you should check your reports and ads to see if any people are really engaged.
Secondly what ads are you running? videos, images or plain text?
the ads have to look interesting ...

Hey. Thanks for replying.

I'm running pictures of my products as ads... with a shop now button

I have about 7 clicks per 700 views?

What do you mean by filtering to region? I've been running the ads in the whole USA..

You should narrow down your audience with the magazines, TV shows, famous personalities, and the pages. Don't mix the interests together. Thus you will get a narrow audience rather than a broad one.

Add FB pixel to your website.
And for $5 a day, run the advert using Post Engagements for 3 days continuously. Within 3 days, Facebook will study the people who have the most chance of clicking your ads.
(3 days continuous ads is must in my experience to get good results).

Now check the relevance score of your advert. I stops an advert, if the relevance score is less than 8(for engagement ads).
If its equal to or greater than 8, I will continue the advert and change the advert from PE to ATC.

Hope that helps.

you need to increase interests, add more - so the reach is at least 100k . smaller reach will increase your cpc

Hey! Yeah, well. I didn't mix them together. I've placed them in separate categories. What do you suggest I use for Post Engagement? Product picture with some info or something like a blog post? Maybe a commercial for the shop? Also, what's the best option for getting page likes?

Thanks for replying!

Hey, I was in a similar situation. Great targetting but it seems impressions and clicks are not leading to sales. Well I found out the Placement was selected wrong. Instead of using automatic placements (money guzzler), do manual and only put it on newsfeeds. You can edit this in Power Editor.

I had 299 link clicks on Facebook ad with 0.03-0.08 cpc and no sales (when promoting business)? When I post on Twitter I sell with only 5-30 link clicks. I believe the facebook Placement I described is what you need to edit, and follow the advice everyone else shared if you must.

Also, I trim the audience by adjusting the income targetting. Don't know if it changes anything but I will return with updates. I am currently testing Facebook ads with Teespring shirts.

Hey. Thanks for your reply. You're talking about sales when promoting your business? What about products? Are you promoting them as well? I'll try it.... How are you getting facebook page likes?

Thanks again

Still, I had no success in sales using Facebook ads despite a lot of clicks and great cpc. Help.

Facebook Page Likes can grow naturally if your community and friends revolve around the similar facebook group types.
