Can anyone recommend a website monitoring software/service that can alert you when your website goes down?

Thanks

Basic State is a free uptime tracker service if you need a freebie for the job. I've used it for as long as I can remember it being online. It works well with supporting other tracking and analytics software and tools.

I use website monitoring software at 100pulse to monitor my sites. I get instant alerts during the downtime. In the beginning I used the free package with 2 of my sites registered and ow I use 20 monitors per month package.

Still the best, email and SMS updates.

Try IP-guard's Website Monitoring Module. It's really useful. I'm using it right now. You can see what sites employees have been visited, how long did they stay. Moreover, you can block those sites that you don't want them to access. The awesome thing is that you can watch the related computer screens and see what them really doing step by step.

:D Hope this information can help you.

Really useful information here, I didn't know there were services like this.

Thanks.

I am looking for something that can monitor about 200 domains - any suggestions?

I'd recommend WebSitePulse.com, probably the most customizable service out there.
They have 30 free trial to use all of their options with no payment info needed.

This is a 5 year old thread you have just bumped. This offers no additional value at all.
