I once worked with a writer that sucked. I guess this means all writers suck.

Don't be a jerk if you don't have to. Read the reply I gave to OP. I explained that a good name won't make a bad business great.

I listed all the flaws his names have.

Like it or not people need namers and I gave a polite answer to the OP. If you think naming is an obsolete profession so be it, but you don't have to be a jerk about it...

I am indeed sir.

I just searched google.co.uk for naming agency, and one of the websites on the first page was "thenaminggroup" You can tell these people know their shit, the thought that went into that domain, fucking mind blowing.
They are the geniuses that came up with "One hour loans LLC" that later became "one hour cash LLC"

Hi out of your names I would say Adverty BUT it like a bit too formal and seen many times, why not take a total random name like Bombay Tonic or Blue Camel? it's original and it will stand out from others

my two cents

And those are the same people that need someone to tie their shoelaces for them.

You're right... People can do everything on their own. They can name their business, design their logos, their stationaries, do all of their marketing on their own, write content, write proposals, do the work, do taxes, shot movies, write code, do their websites, create ads...

No need for specialists.

Designing logos is a skill, not being able to think of a name is stupidity. Just Google "Naming Agency" and take a look at the names of the websites, and these clowns perceive themselves as "expert namers"?

"ahundredmonkeys.com" The thought process that went into that, take a shit 90s film and twist it? These are expert namers?
"thenaminggroup.com"? Fucking genius if I must say so myself.

Only a complete moron would need someone to tell them what they thought was a good name, and someone who considers themselves as an expert in naming.......well say no more.

140 keyword search terms a month for "naming agency" in the US, and only in the US (That Figures). 9000 for logo designer in US, and many more searches world wide.

I guess "professional namers" are not really in that much of demand.

I think second one - digitality. It just seems more relevant - like you are the provider of digital services. Seems more modern, more relevant.

I am down to two names to chose for my digital agency and honestly like both of them so I am having a hard time deciding , so I would like to hear you guys's opinion.

One is adverty and the other one is digitality.

adverty

About 1,33,000 results (0.65 seconds) :D:p

Digitality

About 83,200 results (0.47 seconds) :D:p

My opinion ---- Adverty ;)

I guess all those books on naming and branding I read were a waste of time. Good thing no one told my clients that.

People pay for all kinds of thing and believe me, some serious money goes in to naming businesses and products.

It's ok to have an opinion, but I was just here answering the question OP asked. I did it with facts and I did my best to be helpful. You on the other hand came in attacking my profession and acting like a complete jerk.

Instead of being an idiot, why don't you go see what I wrote and try to participate in way that doesn't make you look like a know-it-all that came here looking for a fight.

OP asked a question, I and a few others answered. I was taught not to speak if I have nothing meaningful to add to the conversation. I guess you missed the day that was taught in school...

Perfect answer!. It's amazing how biz owners think they are multi talented wizards in all phases of marketing and advertising. If you tell them their output sucks they cop an attitude. I quit trying to do business with these types years ago. They don't see value in hiring professionals for anything.Their marketing looks like total shit and they still because they foolishly believe they can do it all themselves.

I am fully aware that people pay for all kinds of idiotic things.

I'm a jerk and an idiot because I would not fall for your bullshit title, self declaration "Expert Namer"? Lets be honest, it would not have mattered what names OP came up with, you would have told him they were shit, just so you could get your "I'm an expert namer" in. Also, your response detailing why his choice of names are bad, was quite frankly just nonsense. But again, this was merely because you want others to see you as some kind of naming guru.

There are many brand names out there that are very well know, yet had they not been well know, you would think it sounded shit ie .... Google.

Did you even read what I wrote to the OP? Didn't I explain to him that a good name won't make a bad business great and vice versa?

Let's be honest. Do you really think any of these names are good? And please be honest. One sounds awkward as fuck and Adverty sounds like any other similar business out there.

I never mentioned I'm a namer before on this forum. I come here to buy services occasionally and potentially learn something new about digital marketing. I have no interested in promoting my services here since my target audience isn't here.

Where was my response where I detailed his poor choices bad? Where was I wrong. And please be specific if you can.

You'd be surprised how many people come to me saying they've spent the last week looking for an available name to use for their service or business. And most of clients are established businesses. It's ok when you have your side hustles and affiliate websites but when you're doing international business having a name that can be trademarked is crucial.

It all comes down to money, if you'd prefer spending a few hours thinking about your business name so be it. Some people prefer to outsource this thing to people like me who do it daily.

I agree Google is a shitty name. Just like Flickr, Fiverr and tons of others. A bad name doesn't mean they won't succeed. I clearly stated this before.
