A friend of mine ended up purcashing a $250 product on paid advertising. I advised him not to but he still would not agree. He basically went through the training and found it to be rehashed and the information is available online. What can he do now in terms of the chargeback?

Can he file a claim saying money sent to the wrong person?

Asking this because he has had a word with the course creator on FB so is there any chance this might work?

That's not the sellers fault if you bought it willingly. I doubt chargeback is allowed for this case. If you want you might want to contact the seller directly and work it out.

Why chargeback? Why did he go through the entire training if he wasn't happy?

What he can do is write to the coach explaining that he is dissatisfied and hope they understand. Nobody wants to deal with an unhappy customer. He might get a refund.

I dont think after purchasing a course and going through it one can chargeback. If that was possible then everyone would have done it, what is in it for the seller ?

Yes but he would have to run the campaign using his methods and spend atleast $100 and ask questions...if no suceess with campaign nd only then he will issue refund. Basically the course creator has just created a course which is not valuable and also not something that would sell for $250 bucks...max to max it should have been selling for $27

Most (not all) training programs are worthless and under performing. People join them without doing due diligence.

You're lucky if they have a refund policy, as many of them offer refunds only within the first week or two, not after completion of the course.

I assume that product was an intangible one? Paypal usually sides with sellers on that.
