Hi everyone,

Just wanting to get some peoples thoughts.

Two of my sites received manual penalties:
Unnatural links to your site—impacts links

Although checking my PBN etc no sites have been deindexed from google.

Question is, would the penalty be from the PBN if the PBN itself was not hit from google?

It also seems only a few pages of each site were hit as well. A bit confused as to what i should do before submitting a reconsideration request.

PBN does not necessarily have to be deindexed for your site to get deindexed. Definitely remove your PBN links though before submitting reconsideration request. You can also consider your PBN sites to be toxic from now on.

Hey my sites werent deindexed they just have a manual penalty it seems. I did have a lot of site wide links from my other authority sites which could be the cause as the PBN is very diluted (maybe 1/10th) of the links to each site.

Anyone know if this PBN would work on other sites? All domains are still indexed.

Think you're just gonna have to test it out and see. I don't think anyone here can give you a sure answer because nobody knows for sure

Good Sir, clearly google believes you have an unnatural link profile. This does not mean your PBN is deindexed or otherwise, merely that it is common and disgraceful and the mighty Google does not value it. I would recommend creating a less commoner level PBN and appeasing the gods of Google post haste

so looks like pbn is not the reason of penalty, why it has to be deindexed?

Well obviously the thing is im not sure what caused the penalty. But if it was the PBN but google didn't deindex any of the PBN sites, are they okay to link from to new sites or will they continue to slap their penalty on anything they touch?

It may well be just that Google thinks a large number of your links are poo. So if you aren't ranking with the PBN, and Google thinks a large number of your links are poo. What value is the PBN. Answer: Probably Poo....or 0

Well rankings have dropped so whatever they found was helping to rank. I have about 300 domains all with good DR and no spam. I must admit the PBN wasn't the hardest to find though so perhaps the PBN links were to blame but it is very hard to tell.

I guess im asking if anyone knows if a PBN site can be hit but still be indexed?

Indexed = still good to rank from
deindexed = poison linking from domain

or can you have indexed PBN site but still = poison?

Pray tell, did you diversify your link profile or simply poop your site link into your 300 site pbn?

Porbably pooped my site. But does that also mean the PBN is pooped? Or could redoing it still not poop a new site?

Didn't they provide you with a sample of these unnatural links? Do these include your PBNs?

It may not be the PBN, you may just need a more diverse link profile for the target site. If you say the PBN is an obvious pbn I'd fix that personally otherwise google will just ignore its links on the next site you point it at

Oh okay so you think perhaps google has marked certain anchor texts as unnatural so that all links with those anchors dont push weight rather than the PBN sites themselves not pushing the weight? That could make sense as only some terms were hit.

Website might be indexed in G. AND penalty Your money site.

Nay, I'm trying to say that if all you are doing for link building is pointing your pbn at the site it would be clearly unnatural. Build other links
