I've been given a seriously weird job offer....

Hi Guys/Gals I could use some advice/input on this.
A friend of mine came to me a couple days ago with a job offer that is a bit out of the ordinary.
In fact it's definitely a weird deal...or maybe not..I dunno.

This friend of mine is from Bejiing China and I have know him for 2 years, he is a good and trustworthy guy so I know he is not pulling my leg about this..
He tells me he has a friend (also in Bejiing), who is a multi-multi-multi millionare type and wants to find a female to have a baby with..or she has his baby for him I guess is the idea. He is a 50 year old male businessman and his primary goal is to have mixed race baby...and possibly marry the woman too if it is agreeable to both parties.

Right off the bat I think.."why do you need me for this?" and start suggesting our Romeo simply hit up the online dating places and do this himself. Well...it seems this guy is supremely wealthy and would just like to hire somebody to bring forth the prospects so he can choose...and he is willing to pay handsomely for this ..shall we say customized service.

The only specifications he has is that she be a "white woman" and I guess that is where I entered into he picture.... since I am an american guy they presume I will have some ladies I can go ask for this sort of thing(?...LoL).
By "white" I'm told that means she can be American, European, Russian Romanian, Ukranian etc. any type of white woman who is interested in being paid to either carry and give birth to a baby for him (in China), or if interested marry and relocate permanently.
My friend assures me this person is not a weirdo of any sort and is a very decent person but just doesn't know how to go about setting this sort of thing up for himself. They have even now sent pictures of the fellow to me and wanting to know what my fee would be to play matchmaker to this scenario.

So the past two days I am thinking all about this. I know to some this must sound just horrible and despicably sexist...some rich guy looking to buy a woman like he buys a sports car etc...and I do share some of those sentiments..
On the other hand this guy maybe is just approaching this arrangement like a business deal since his whole life is entirely business oriented and socially he knows no better way. Thousands of online sites act in a similar fashion, brokering marriage arrangements every day and since both parties are happy with the outcome it is a win+win situation for everybody involved.

Whatever the case, I am having to decide if I accept this proposal to act as matchmaker in this or not. If I accept I will no doubt make a nice bit of money, but this is much more than just an easy payday in terms of my responsibility.
Any possibility that the woman in this arrangement could be mistreated/trapped/abused/tricked etc. is absolutely worrisome to me and I would consider it my full responsibility. I would have to be personally involved on a level including legal contracts/travel arrangements etc. in this to assure no such thing could possibly occur.

At this point i just don't know what I should do. It's a dilemma for sure.
Best case scenario, I unite two people who give each other what each wants (for him a baby and possible wife, for her-money and life of luxury..possibly a good husband).
Worst case scenario...?

Any suggestions...opinions?...advice? What would you do in my position?

What a story Nickel. I would not do it. The money you earn is good but think of the long term. You dont know what will happen with that woman or something happens its your fault.

My second second is because of the baby condition could you not be sued for human traffic or something like that?!

You're pretty much going to be selling woman into sex slavery. That story is def something I was offered in the past and I had to pass on that. Don't want that bad karma on my hands lol. I'm pretty sure your "friend" will be getting investigated soon. If you don't want to be on that list you should stay away from that shit.

I am a Chinese, I can assure you, this sort of thing exist, and even not a single case, a lot JUST a lot Chinese love western sexy girls include me, well, I think this is human nature, we all love pretty girls lol, no matter where she will come from.

So thats why a lot of Chinese would love to marry a foreign girl, especially a pretty one, so this is normal, not weirdo or whatever you say, but consider not many Chinese can speak English/Russian/Other western languages, its hard to make this dream come true lol, I think this is the main reason, ah, another big one was not "that many" foreigners come to China, or just travel to here, stay a few days then go back to her own country.

I think you can be this middleman if you handle this well, but if this "Rich Romeo" can't speak English, well, its hard to make any relationship long as we all know translator wont work when at bed, hint hint.

Anyway, glad you got a Chinese friend, welcome to here!

What happens if you example get 20k for getting a suracut mother and she pulls out afther the birth this happends a lot trust me !

There going to be huge legal fees

Best case scenario: You could be tempted to scale this up and become a badass human trafficker abducting girls and selling them to Chinese multi-multi-multi millionaires.

yes this was my thought exactly...he must be very socially inept not to realize he can find this service through some professional site....maybe it would be better to just point him in that direction.

Good point redarrow. This arrangmement definitely couldn't be made without a legally binding contract. She must agree to allow father custody after birth but also must be given rights of full visitation. It's a lot to sort out to protect both parties.

I have talked to a legal friend today about this. I'm only more stumped than before. The thing is my IM stuff has really tanked badly lately and I could really use the money since I am myself planning to be married in the fall. So that makes this a harder decision. If i were to do this i would have to broker the deal all the way through and insure full safety of the female involved...a big task really but it would pay handsomely as I said.

This is not anywhere close to human trafficking. Kidnapping and selling people as slaves is human trafficking and it's a horrific crime..this doesn't even warrant a comparison.

Thanks for laughs and good advice everyone...I am leaning towards walking away from this but still it is tempting to explore it further.

I think if you really have "human" heart you must know the answer for sure.
Human/women are not something that you can buy or sell like a stuff.
There might be some harmful stuff happen in the future with the women. So please please consider more on accepting the job.

TerryCody, thanks for this reply brother..yes I have Chinese friends and they are great. I really admire Asian cultures despite the rough relations of our respective gov.'s sometimes.
My friend is trustworthy and a good fellow, and he told me basically the exact same thing you have said. His friend spends all his time making money and knows nothing about social hook-up platforms or marriage services. He only speaks Chinese and I think that is also part of his concern that he could not navigate these waters without some help from somebody comfortable with western culture to aid him.
My friend also speaks English so he offers to act as an intermediary if this thing proceeds.

It is true that cross-culture barriers are tough to overcome but it seems to me like this is more of an arrangement of convenience than a shot at a loving relationship.
The rich businessman gets his son-daughter he wants and possibly a wife who he lavishes money on for the exchange of, *ahem ..."wifely duties" from time to time. I think a lot of extremely wealthy people end up in relationships like this where they have the trophy wife on the arm, and the wife usually happy as long as the Platinum card is working. Far be it from me to judge this.
In terms of some Russia/Ukrainian women, this sort of offer might even be viewed as a dream come true...and for him it might be as well. It's this idea which keeps me thinking about this weird job offer.
