Those are basically the only ones that matter. No follow doesn't give link juice to your site, or so says Google. However, having link diversity is still important so it looks natural

Yes, I know that. I am breaking my head to find a good reason for this happening. Maybe they are making noise as you said.Still can't understand why do they do it. A/B testing is so basic for everything we do online.

Because the longer it takes you to rank organically, the longer you must buy adwords to get traffic from serach results. They do everything in their capacity to make SEO difficult. And then they use your content next to their ads to show answers straight on their SERPs.

Yeah, the only links google really likes are the ones that are paid for on adwords haha... and if they can't do that, they will scrape a half assed tl;dr version and plug in a a few ads so you don't go away as quickly. Bunch of cockheads! I've ranted about this elsewhere, so I'll stop now.

TF is only good for bulk filtering down of a shitload of domains and quick checks for red flags (anchors etc). But a shitty followed blog comment can skyrocket tfin days. Not to mention, it doesn't even pick up a lot of links so a sites "trust flow" might be higher than what you see anyway.

The only way to judge a service is to test it. And make sure it doesn't include "lady gaga" or some other moronic sales gimmick to sell LOL

Keep in mind that if a site does benefit from a link, Google will first lower the site's ranking for a period, then they pause, then later (weeks/a month) it ranks the site where it would be. So if a site falls on the serps right after you get a new link, don't dispair, it's not necessarily a bad signal.

It's part of their algorithm to insert noise and to make it harder to do A/B testing. Someone here has referenced their patent on this and where someone explains it, but I never remember where.

Wait for a fluctiation or two then get desperate and change everything. Call Matt Cutts and remember to disavow yourself along with all your links too, maybe you or the links are hurting the site somehow.

Why do you think people spend hundreds and sometimes thousands on Wikipedia links? Just because of diversity? Sure, nofollow links may not transfer what we refer to as "link juice", but with Google's eternal love for authorities, brands and trustworthy websites, having a link on a site like Wikipedia certainly isn't simply ignored by Google.
