Chrome support for the Better Ads Standards

Chrome has always focused on giving you the best possible experience browsing the web. For example, it prevents pop-ups in new tabs based on the fact that they are annoying. In dialogue with the Coalition and other industry groups, we plan to have Chrome stop showing ads (including those owned or served by Google) on websites that are not compliant with the Better Ads Standards starting in early 2018.

Damn.

Good. Some non-intrusive advertising is fine, but what's going on the world wide web nowadays is quite annoying and you cannot not use an ad blocker unless you want to go insane.

Pretty much means they'll disable ads they don't like, not all of them; the title is misleading.

So they wil filter bad ads thats funny

They will fuck the other Ad Networks and won't give them any chance.

& Microsoft will ditch chrome soon.

everyone is mad now..

lol so only google's own ad network will be allowed to show ads then. Good move :D

I'm pretty sure adsense will respect the "Better Ads Standards" and will not be blocked, this news can be good for those who don't spam!

For now I lose money because 45% of my visitors have ads blocker, so google lose 32% margin of these 45% too

What happens right now? People install ads blocker when they are tired to be spammed as hell by pop up and all the craps, so they block adsense too, but many of them for example rich kid like targeted ads because they like to spend money, I will not be surprised if this update will block every ads blocker and every ads except adsense and the other network who will pay google under the table or help them to take control of the WWW

But now the message is clear if you don't use adsense you will be fucked sooner or later

For all investors it is a good time to start buying adsense accounts and sell them next year ;)

I still think they will allow pop ups and unders up to 3.

I dont think so. They block some pop ups by default now too and when that policy will be implemented who knows what will happen

It has both good and bad affects but I am sure they will find another way for advertising before that.

We don't know yet. But what we know is Google won't limit their own ads.

In fact, I think they will make it more profitable imo. Probably will do something about people using adblock.

monopoly google is going to further monopoly the market.
one day, its too big to fall. and US governemnt will pay $ to save their ass.

I don't understand, how exactly will it affect pop/intext ad networks?
