Hey guys - first post here. Great information and I really enjoy following along and gaining the information from everyone on how to build our instagram accounts. Some of you guys are ridiculous in how well you've figured this stuff out. So I imagine someone will be able to help out.
I would like to get rid of the non-engaging followers that I have so that I can increase my engagement rate and hopefully spread out better. I'll still be using followliker to build my account in the meantime, but want to be more selective on who I allow to follow my account. I am very selective on my settings for followliker which who I follow and engage with so that I am bringing quality people on board to interact and am maintaining a decent engagement rate. It's not as good as it could be, even though my content is typically pretty good.
A couple days a week of strictly 'unfollowing' should leave me with followers that are interacting with me consistently.
So to get down to it:
Things to get past:
1. I believe the instagram settings have changed and you can only pull 120 likes from a photo or video, so I can't say the people that haven't given me likes from a 'ghost app' aren't really liking my stuff.
2. Unfollowing people does not block them and allows them to still follow my account, so I need to find a way to block these people from my page even if they aren't unfollowing me.
3. Figuring out who is engaging with me, and who isn't... in bulk quantities.
If I'm not mistaken (could be), unfollowing someone if your account is private will not allow them to see your page. So if I set my account to private for a few hours before unfollowing, I could potentially get rid of the people on a scraped list if I'm currently following them.
The biggest trick is figuring out who is engaging with me, working through a list of how to delete them off my account, and doing it in a way that isn't going to take me all day long.
Any thoughts guys?
Thanks!
