It is possible. I am taught to live by the rule that everything you can put your mind to is achievable, no matter what anyone else says.
It all begins and ends in your mind, remember that.
You are a native English writer who obviously managed to get through high school and plan to get in college. You must have a sense of what is right and what is wrong in the English grammar. You might not know how to write at the highest level because being good at writing requires more than just knowing grammar.
But at your experience and your knowledge and a little bit of training, you can surely present your prices anywhere between $1-$5 per 100 words of content. If you want to earn $6000 you need, you will have to earn at least $100 every day. That is anywhere between 2,000-10,000 words per day.
Doable, huh? Well, if I consider that you can write a 1,000-word article in an hour, including the time it needs to be researched, you will need anywhere between 2 and 10 hours depending on your rates to get to $100 a day. Here is the trick, however. Charging higher will require more attention from your side. Articles, where you will be charging $4 or $5 per 100 words, will need to be deeply researched, thoroughly edited and overall, be impeccable. An article of that quality cannot be finished in an hour.
So there is no way that you will be finishing everything in less than 6 hours a day.
There is one more trick, as well. You have to include the time it requires you to find clients who pay this kind of money. And unfortunately for you, this is the hardest part. Especially because it will require you some time to adopt the basics of marketing and sales to successfully sell your skills to potential clients.
Soo... to sum up. It is possible! It requires a lot of work, probably more than 10 hours per day, an initial investment in setting up the website, taking a lot of risks and having a lot of luck. And still, I am not giving you a high chance to succeed. You need more time and more skills to have a better chance, so you also might think about having a plan B.
