Hey guys,

I need to buy a .com domain, but this goddady offer seems to good to be true lol. I'm afraid if there's a catch, maybe they let you redirect it on THEIR hosting accounts only, or maybe the renewal fee after 1year is too high?

Anyone tried it?

Edit: Already got my answer lol. You have to go for 2 years at least, to get the first year for 1$ and the second one for $15 a year, so basicly it's 16-17$ for 2years, which is around 8-9$ per year.... stupid promotion, fuck it :)

After 1 year price would be high.
I guess $1 for 1st year and then $14 for renewal :)

I never get domain from them, they sale our details to xyz organizations and then we receive ton's of notifications and call even after purchasing privacy protection.

Try 1and1, namecheap etc.

The domain is good, the price is good. The torture and pain comes afterwards, dealing with GD as a pro will give you a stroke later on.

I use namecheap for my main domains, but I would like to buy something for a cheap price if there's any. And yeah, I agree about the info selling thing, they are a pain in the ass after you register once with them.

buy it for $1 dollar, then transfer the first year just transfer it to uniregistry or namecheap or ...

The promo required 2 years of registration. GoDaddy knows the tricks. They want their 15 bucks, and they're going to get it! I stay far away from them.

Leave shitdaddy, no matter what, only, if you just need 1 year domain, yes, it got no catch, no trap, just big renewal money later.

not even that u can do lol. they force u to pay for 2 years from the beggining.

What I did: Open up 30 accounts, ask for credit cards from my friends and family + opened up 15 bank accounts and then used the promo code cjc99com on every account.
Never caught, nobody cares, you don't even have to use different proxies lol

+1 for creativity, but I'd just pay the 10 bucks.
