Creating a new facebook account - any guidelines?

Ok, so I did something really stupid and got into an argument with Trump supporters, and for the second time they gang-reported my account and got it suspended.

It's now very clear to me that if you are going to discuss anything on facebook, you should have at least 2 accounts so that you are not cut off from your business group whenever a few morons (or competitors) feels like it. Facebook admin is absolutely useless.

Anyway - I'm going to set up at least one backup account there, and I was wondering if anyone could point me to a post with guidelines/suggestions for doing so. For example, I know to use a slightly different name and birthdate, but I think there are also things like a minimum number of friends before you can manage a group, maybe I should not 'friend' the same people, and perhaps I should not join the same groups -- or does this not matter?

Any suggestions or list of things to avoid would be useful. I see a lot of people with very obvious fake accounts, but then I know others who have created accounts for their kids/dogs etc and been shut down quickly so I'm know there are some 'traps' to look out for.

Hey! Just go for it. Your account wont be closed unless a group people report it again so you don't need to think about another DOB or name. Just create it with your real information and don't piss stupid people.

The entire point of social media is to interact with other people. To suggest "stay away" from people is like saying join a forum but don't post anything, or to call someone but don't say anything.

Well, that's a security risk you got there. Creating copies of your account provides other people more chances to access them. Also, you'll be causing confusion if it's personal account, even if you're not famous. People might think your duplicate accounts are posers. Well, those are just some ideas I got in mind if you're making multiple personal FB accounts.

It depends on what you are using that account for. If you are anti Trump, and want to voice your opinion, and ready to get it banned, that's ok. However, for some others, Facebook is a means to promote stuff, and earn. So, they unlike you, stay out of political drama, and do what they should do.

Again, it is a matter of perspectives. You can join a forum on IM, shout out about religion, politics or child pornography, and get banned, or you keep shut, see what others are doing, mind your own business, interact without offending and learn new things.

As for creating Facebook accounts, you can create as many as you want. However, once Facebook finds out that it's dummy or fake, they'll ban it, and ask you for a photograph with a specific number written on it, (and with your face on it), and still block it.

In normal times I would agree with you, but these are not normal times. Like MOST Americans, we are very embarrassed and concerned that a dangerous man is now in charge, and by all accounts he would literally destroy most of the world, including his own country, to satisfy his ego. I'm not going to be quiet about that, and I will not be polite to fellow Americans who support that.

This particular 'leader' is very vain, and loves to say that everyone supports him. He is very worried about people who speak out against him. Those around him do what he says and even lie for him do so because they think most people support him, so speaking out CAN change the direction of is decisions, and the amount of power he as.

This is supposed to be the "power" of social media, and I intended to put it to use. I do understand and appreciate your comment, however.

It's rather hard to "earn a buck" when due to a leader who is voting a $4 billion tax cut for his family, you and some of your family members are among the 23 million Americans who will die because of health care cuts... and that's assuming we're not killed in a nuclear war with NK or attacked by literally any other country because the idiot got us thrown out of NATO.

As I said, everyone around this person, including those who know him personally, say he only cares about how many people suck up to him... so speaking out against him DOES make a difference. This is why his 3 brothers hate him so much.
