I am soo used to listen to music while I'm coding, doing IM stuff, traveling, etc..

It is either a youtube playlist or my mobile playlist.

I am trying to stop listening to music.

This is day 3.

I just cannot focus on anything. I need to put my earphone so bad.

I didn't know this is a thing and can turn into an addiction.

wow.

A new niche maybe? A Clickbank product to help stop listening to music? @mancar487 .. I think IM a true IMer now. lol

Why would you stop?

Some people are just more into listening music and preform well on it. Me on the other hand cannot. I only listen to music when walking to a store or when I do calisthenics. Some people can function without it. It is what it is. Why change a winning formula?

Yah, it is not like something that can cause health problem or anything like other addictions. But I just wanted to see if I can do this.

I don't think that is an addiction (there are not health issues) and it if helps, why stop. As for myself, I also prefer to code and do all other stuff with my music. It just helps the thinking process.

Give me some artist recommendations. I'm into alt rock mainly.
Im not a fan of any genres. (Although I am a fan of eminem). So can't give any recommendations. I listen to anything with good lyrics. :D

A'ight fuck it. Top five favorite songs.

Shit bro. There's a band called DREAMCAR that is coming out with some great stuff lately. They are No Doubt, minus that bitch Gwen Stefani, and instead on vocals is Davey Havok of AFI. It's incredible. Highly suggest it.

Sometimes I think the only reason that my dogs like car rides is because that is the only place I play music off headphones. Caught the larger of my two dogs kicking back with his eyes eyes closed and looking content, but with alert ears, while Rick Wakeman was playing.

Musical eardrum addiction™ is a very serious condition that affects almost the entirety of our human population.
Mostly spread through to skin-to-skin contact with a mechanical device that allows for the reproduction of audible sounds arranged in various contriving fashions, it is an epidemic whose causes are widely undocumented and unknown.
Some withdrawals symptoms have been noted and include but are not limited to: Agitation, boredom, a proneness to violent outburst, headaches, feeling warm one moment and cold the other, shivers, unvoluntary twitching and lastly, death.

No remedy is yet to be found for this condition and in the future one can only hope that this outbreak is put to an end, but until then, one can only chase the dragon and hope, hope that his battery doesn't run out during the inevitable struggle that befalls us all in the desperate voyage that we are forced to partake in.

Music definitely helps :P Been working with soft music in the background for some time now. Recently started listening to productive music instead. And what I mean is - motivational speakers. Tony robbins etc

I cannot see myself being able to succeed with this easily whatsoever.
Good luck bro!
My respect goes to you if you can accomplish this level of self-"mind hack/torture" plan of yours.

Music definitely helps, does it have to be an addiction tho? Um.. i get more demotivated listening to motivational speakers :)

I really don't understand why you would stop something that's actually helping you to get more work done. I listen to music all the time. A lot actually and I think it helps me to get a lot done. I say if you are getting more IM stuff done and it is not distracting you from growing your business then you should keep listening to music. Then again you might have your reason so I can't stop you but I'm just saying.
