Odd issue with PayPal... Please help..

I don't have a credit card so I requested for a sbi global MasterCard debit card from the bank and received it today. I activated international transaction on it. Then I linked it to my PayPal account but when I tried to confirm it PayPal gave an error that -"the card verification system used by PayPal is currently unavailable"
Has anyone else got this error??? Please help... I need to buy my domain and hosting but now I'm stuck...

It can be that the card is not supported by PayPal. It happens often with debit cards, which can be obtained online.

Give paypal a call. They might be able to add it manually.

Seems to suggest it might be their system playing up.
Wait a few minutes then try again.

If no joy, clear cache and cookies and try again.

It is possible that system is unavailable for the moment (I've had same experience) but I got same message when I tried to use wrong card also.

we don't have any access to use paypal in our country
but good news is paypal is giving access soon in our country

What kind of card do you use now??? I thought that a MasterCard global debit card would work...

You CAN NOT use debit cards for payments through Paypal in INDIA You will need a credit card. If you don't have one, beg, borrow or steal.

but my account is 70% verified
when i need $ i asked people who have paypal $ they send me in paypal
and i give them local money
u can say it exchange

It should be a temporary problem then. Paypal does support indian debit cards so try it later. It might work.

That's not possible in my country bro... You cannot do transactions within my country and you even cannot use your money directly from your PayPal account...all because of f***ing RBI...

Yup bro... Our country has got a motherf****er central bank called RBI which has made the life of we fellow internet marketers hell in the name of welfare....
