Can I use Shopify Cracked Themes?

Hi,

After seeing so many great premium themes on shopify store, I was wondering what's the policy on using cracked themes? (If there's any). Any experience with this?

Not at all lol, just curious. Who would risk his store for a stupid mistake like that. Once I start making money I would absolutely have no problem paying a 100$ or more for a good theme.

So how are you going to get a theme without paying ? Are you meaning to use a free theme first, then upgrade ?

Not sure about Shopify but I know themes in Themeforest are capable of detecting cracked themes, and with Shopify I doubt they'd be careless enough to let people abuse this. Just not worth it IMO. Their free themes are actually pretty solid so you could always go for those first and once you're comfortably making a profit you could then make a run for their paid themes.

Yeah, I uploaded a free theme I found interesting and looking modern, not even too much difference from the premium ones.

Themeforest only sells themes I think, so they can do nothing if someone uses a cracked theme on their web, hosted by another company. At least not directly. Maybe if they report it to your hosting provider.

You don't to crack the themes before using it. Cracking it means you need to crack the code before it works.

It's not a cracked version, we call it nulled theme.
I have already using one, that cost 600$ for free. and there is just one big problem, there is no support so if you have any probleme with this theme you have to sove it alone. as well you dont have access on updated version and bug fixeing. you will spont more time.
so, is not advised.

shopify needs to process payments and charge you a platform if you use shopify payments.
they dont care less for themes so yes use cracked if you need to

There's really no "cracking" in shopify themes. It's called "nulling". They don't have a purchase code or such.

You can use someone else's purchased themes on your site.

Your only downside here would be that you won't be able to get theme support or updations. You'd be stuck on the same version you got, for ages, until you stop that store or change the theme. I myself have used nulled themes for a few stores because I was going to sell those stores early (immediately after a little 4-5 figure revenue).

Works like a charm.

Yes you can. I use cracked themes and never had a problem.
Only if you want to sale your store than you need to change your theme in free to get approved from Shopify exchange

Totally not worth it, just save up and buy the theme. As an added bonus you actually get support.
