Hi guys,
I am moving to a new city and I would like to start a SEO local agency to that city and surroundings.

The problem is they already have 4-5 with companies and landing page targeted multiples cities (even suburbs).

Do you guys think I have a chance to compete if I lower a little bit the service price? Even if I don't have any clear difference from them?

How would I be different from them and cause an impact when get there?

If I dont have anyway to make my service different does it still worth to make this agency and compete with them?

Thank you guys.

Take a look at each of their services and take notes as a potential customer, anything to do better and cheaper.
Competition didn't worry facebook when they first started, they took what was already there and just did it better. Never worry about competition. I wish you well

Do you have much experience in SEO?

I guess an easy way to find new clients would be to put together a list of local companies, sorted by sector. Identify the ones who have a poor search engine ranking then target them with a very well worded email, explaining how their low ranking is hurting their business and how you can help them.

Thanks man, you really motivated me. But in this case I can't see how to do better, unfortunately. SEO things are pretty straight forward and not too many ways to think out side the box talking about how to do the work.

Do you have any idea how can I make something better in this field?

Thanks for you comment.

I don't know your area, that's why it's always to take some time to get to know the competition. Where there is a will there's a way.

I do have in WH SEO. I have few methods to get clients, my website is on page 3 right now and I am glad because I am not even physically there yet. I methods would be warm call/in-person meeting after good email/physical mailing and referral program.

I still have 2 months to try differents methods and see what's the best for that location mixing those thing I said previously.

Do you have any idea to improve my way to get local clients or a different opinion?

Thanks for give you insight. I really appreciate it.

I live in SoCal right now and moving to Seattle suburbs. I agree with you. I am not the kind of guy who give I easily. I am just trying to think about strategies to outsmart my competitors. Right now the only thing I can think is lower prices.

I imagine the competition is very strong there being such an IT area (Microsoft, Amazon etc).

You can look at social media etc. to see what your competitors are doing there to get ideas. Also look for clients that way.

I think sending personalised emails works well. Here's a very good example of an extremely well worded email from a copywriter (you could follow the same kind of principals):

Lowering prices isn't always a good idea and doesn't always work.
You need to research your competitors, see where you can improve on their offers.
Look at their clients, what markets do they cover etc
Look for a USP, if you are smaller than your competitors then offer them a personal service, design bespoke offers that your competitors might not have.

That's perfect man. You just gave me a HUGE idea. I don't even know how to thank you guys from BHW.
