Not easy today about google.. They make new obstacle everyday..
I know they are out there, I helped one person stop spending literally multiple thousands of dollars per month for such cloud based services, and switch to using Scrapebox. But I don't know what they are called, they are expensive and klunky from what I have seen so I try and forget about them.So what programs do you use?

I think you can use Simple SERP Scraper

People basically use Scrapebox (this is my tool of choice), Gscraper (never used it personally) and custom tools. What's your hang up with Scrapebox?
Mac osx user
Seems like a lot of hassle to have to install vmware, then install windows or bootcamp windows on my mac and then swap user all the time whenever i use it.
Any quick solutions for mac osx (no chucking my macbook pro in the bin is not one of them).
Hahaha. I guess that's a pretty good reason. You could try running a license on a Windows VPS. Then just remote into the VPS. That's probably your best bet.
Buy from the Scrapebox thread here on BHW and you'll get it for like $67 (or something close to that).
Cheers man,
Will check it out!
Have a great evening!

It's easy if you know a bit of coding. As for example, I made a simple script years ago, which might still work for you if you tweak it a bit..
Code:https://github.com/noc2spam/KeywordTracker
Get the $15 "Speedy Windows VPS" from Ahead Host. It's fast and cheap.
Get Scrapebox and then set it to only grab the first 10 results from each keyword. Easy peasy.
Or just pay someone to run the scrape for you. I'm sure there's lots of people on here who would do this for $10-$20. However, if you plan on running a lot of scrapes you're better off investing in the tools yourself. Scrapebox will pay for itself over and over again once you know how to use it.
just read through the github info - that scrapes rankings for a keyword which would mean i would need to know the url to scrape the rank. I am looking to input one keywordl i.e "dogs" and get the top 10 urls - does that make sense?
Thanks.
With regards to the loading of scrapebox onto the vps - is this easy to do?
Cheers mate!
