You give them internet access though. Just through your own landing page, but your using the WiFi that's already there to give your own network connection. Ofcourse you lose people on the 'real' network, but you get people on your own network as well.

Hi, I am new here and new at this. I want to learn how to make money online legally. Please can you find time to show me some pathway? I will appreciate it and you will be saving lots of lives. So tried lots of methods on BHW, some worked better than others, in the end it all comes down to the execution by the person. Not by the method, well that's my opinion TBH.
So I thought, what can I do, to make my own method, to make myself feel comfortable with it?
After a while I came up with an idea, based on stuff I've learned from my studies back in the days.
Basically it consists out of setting up free WiFi networks. It may sound boring, but what I do brings in quite a lot of money.
For example. I drive to a shopping center, set up a WiFi network there and give them a landing page like many of the legit free networks. Instead of giving them a legit one, I give them my own landing page. Sometimes it consists out of Google ads, sometimes a content locker, etc. Lots of variations I do with this.
Besides this, they have to register, like most landing pages for free networks, which gives me a lots of different mail addresses, which I use once in a while.
In shopping centers I offer them ofcourse a landing page with lots of shopping related items, so it seems legit.
But besides this, there are a lot of different other places. Used this method at some airport carparks, not far from the terminals, and supplied it with a free WiFi. Instead of serving them a shopping landing page, I offer them a travel landing page, with ofcourse the ads, or a content locker.
Up to now, it brings me about 300£ a day on average for the last 9 months.
I think it was about time for me to bring something back to BHW, the place where I've learned a lot from others. A lot of variations are possible with this method. Just let your mind go.

I've been reading this thread from the beginning and I must admit the idea is quite interesting.
I see why cpa companies would have problem with this method.
On the other hand, you could use it for totally different approaches. For example setting up a like locker and the user has to like your facebook page, follow you on insta etc.
While they wouldn't be targeted, they would be real people,so if you had a Ladbible like page or something viral or interesting and you redirected them to your site, then Adsense is a suitable solution. (When you collected enough page likes of course, which takes some time)
Or you could sell those likes to pages (charge x amount for a like, run their campaign for y time)
Or if you had a bar for example you could set it up, and your customers can use your free wifi through your landing page if they like your bar's fb page etc.etc.etc.
So to sum it up it's definitely interesting.

Agreed. It's very easy to find flaws in this:
You will struggle to find many (if any) advertisers who would accept incentive traffic for a survey in a content locker. The very nature of surveys means that advertisers want quality data, so most of them do not accept incentive traffic because it leads to dishonesty and useless data.
How many people are actually going to spend time completing a survey, walking around a shopping centre or airport trying to connect to your WiFi network?
You 'claim' to make around £300 a day for this (25% from Adsense) for a few hours work. So that works out at about $2.10 every single minute...
There is a very good reason why you won't say which networks you use here.
Why? Will you kill someone if not?

So basically you are joining an existing free wifi network, then you are making your own wifi network and bridging the two connections.
Then you stick a portal or content locker on your network.
User connects to your wifi, clicks on your ads or whatever, then ends up accessing the net via the existing network?
Seems possible but not that scalable because you got to sit in the car all day to keep it running.
If you really can do that then you could scale it up I guess but getting the kit fitted into a suitcase or something and leaving them up and running.
Wouldn't be that funny if you left a humming suitcase near the airport though

I don't see how 30-50 meters range could reach from a car to the busy area of a mall or airport.
I live a few miles from the Mall of America(biggest mall in usa) and its at least 200 meters to get into the mall where most people are
It seems like there would be more money to be made if you could have backpacks with all the gear and walk into the busy area.

Who cares about the minor discrepancies. Didn't you hear £300 a day!!!!
Here is another one. Adsense also accepts this traffic. No need to even buy a router and head off to Maccys, just sit at home clicking your own ads all day.

The surveys that pay anything meaningful, require:
1) Non-incentive traffic - this method fails on that.
2) Time to complete the survey (we're talking 15+ mins usually) - this method fails on that.

Also that is one of the reasons why i won't connect to open wifi. And why bother with a crapy gateway page. There are so much "blacker" ways to exploit that traffic.
Can you elaborate a bit or is it prohibited?

Another (possibly dumb?) idea of mine:
-create a basic page whatever u like (+ maybe a "click here for free wifi" button) and put adsense on it with a clickjack (no matter where the user clicks/taps she/he will open the ad).

i guess that's the wrong board for that kind of stuff. I mean you're kind of a gateway / mitm, you could find enough what you could do if you're digging through the web.
