Are Youtube giveaways a good way to get subscribers on youtube? I saw some livestreams of fidget spinner/PSN/Xbox code giveaways, on socialblade these guys were getting 100 subs a day. Anyone have experience doing this ?

Yes it is. In my experience lots of regular viewers converted in to subs with giveaway and we all know that number of subscribers gives you a social proff, plus YT will more often show your content to them as suggested videos.

Yes its a good method if your channel does provides value. I have seen many channels doing this and gaining good amount of followers. They use Gleam for enteries for giveaway and pull a good amount of traffic.

Just started doing them, but my stream doesn't rank high. What are the factors for ranking a yt stream? watchers/likes? if so, is there a way to game that system?

For live streams you need watchers. Many of the channels use watch bots maybe you can look for some services that provide that and try them.

Attracting viewers to win prizes by subscribing to your channel will allow you to get more views in your other videos as the subscribed viewers will see your videos under the suggested videos tab.

what's a good way to do giveaways other than GLEAM?

and should you outright ask for subs, likes and comment to enter?

people who earn lot of money from a fake giveaway are so dustribing

#AmazonGiveaway Viewers have to like, sub, or comment to enter. It's handled by Amazon. Disadvantage (for international channels): it's only for U.S.A.
