Best free photo editing software?

Any suggestions?

I have an idea to make a cool logo for my instagramaccount but then i need to mix 2images and be able to put text (my instagramaccountname) and be able to change color background and the color of the text + image itself...

Is there a free software out there to do all this?

Every torrent I find on photoshop got negative comments like "beware scam! beware spyware!" blabla .. I'm not gonna take the risk. Any other options?

If you already have the resource images and know exactly what you want, you could probably pay somebody on fiverr to do this in photoshop for next to nothing rather than spend your time learning a new image editing software.

If you rethink it there are plenty of good photoshop cracks out there - there are also plenty of free software packages packages with viruses, adware, etc.

You pay to place the order, the money is essentially held in escrow by fiverr and not accessible to the designer until some time after you accept the completed order. If you don't like the work you can usually cancel the order, but your refund stays in your fiverr account and you would have to order again from a different designer. If you go this route you should definitely check out their gallery and reviews carefully because there are good and bad fiverr providers.

You can download Photoshop CS2 straight from Adobe to avoid malware.
