Shopify + Payoneer for non-US resident?

Yes. Add Stripe and put you US "bank details" from Payoneer and Robert is your mums brother.

But if @Masterofeverything uses it with success, maybe that employee is clueless. lol
Try it i guess, you don't really have anything to lose. See if you can add the bank account(s) at all. The payment will either go through or not, if not, it will just bounce back, money won't just disappear into thin air.

Yeah, I was worried about it. Added the TAN (I think) and another number - maybe account no, worked with no issues at all. I also read somewhere you cannot use "digital US banks" but I never had an issue apart from the taking a week to withdraw for the first few months.

From the UK, Living the dream in Europe. I have Amazon Sites based in the US, so I made sense to connect the Shopify account up with Payoneer.

Shopify Payments = Stripe
Stripe is supported in your country (United Kingdom), maybe that's the reason why you got accepted. But what about countries in which Stripe is not supported?

Where are you from? Maybe you're from country which is not supported by Shopify Payments.

I gave up on Shopify. Now I'm developing a PHP-based shop from scratch. It's 50% complete.

Just use Paypal untill you get enough funds, then apply for US based LLC online, some setup will cost about only 250$ , and you can then create a stripe account and link it to shopify or any Ecom cms . you will be able to signup also with any Payment processor that accept USA , such Braintree or pinpayments .
