Amazon Affiliate Terminated

I Had My amazon Affiliate Account terminated , after almost 18 months of hard work , over 5k unpaid fees
This is the email i received
"Hello from the Associates Program,

We are writing to tell you that effective as of today’s date, Amazon is terminating your Associates account. Under the terms of the Operating Agreement, we may terminate your account at any time, with or without cause. This decision is final and not subject to appeal.

It is important that you immediately remove all Amazon Content from your Site(s). Please be aware that any other accounts you have, or may open in the future, may be closed without payment of any fees. Amazon reserves all other rights and claims.

Because you are not in compliance with the Operating Agreement, Amazon will not pay you any outstanding advertising fees related to your account. Amazon exercises its right under the Operating Agreement to withhold fees based on violations, which include the following:

-Your social media page or account contains a trademarked term or a variant or misspelling of a trademarked term belonging to Amazon. In addition, any use of an Amazon logo outside of what is provided to you in Associates Central is not permitted.

Thank you for your participation in the Amazon Associates Program.

This Was a 100% White hat social page , i have amazing in the page name


Is there any chance the account might be reinstated or should i just move on !

So you had a facebook page or a website?
And did you used amazon logo in a custom created image?

I did that when i started last year , i realized it was not right and i designed a new logo and cover page
but after i received the email , i looked through my pictures and there was one with that logo still there
that was buried under hundreds of pictures , and i didn't realize it till it was too late ...

i have been paid till February , March April and May has been withheld

Sorry man. You can try to appeal but they said the decision is final so I wouldn't bother.

as matter of fact i am pretty surprised , one single little mistake that had no impact on what i was doing at all,
I think i'll be moving on ....

I sent them an email saying i audited my page , i removed all violations and anything that might be related to their trademark , been a few days with no response

Not just with Amazon, every site out there be like this these days . They find smallest thing and send a "important" email either a violation or removal.

Why aren't u getting paid what they owe you though ?

Apparently their user agreement strip you of any rights
"Any dispute relating in any way to the Associates Program or this Agreement will be resolved by binding arbitration, rather than in court, except that you may assert claims in small claims court if your claims qualify."
I can't even sue them , i can take them to small claims court though

I wouldn't dump amazon , just be very careful if you are using them

Weren't you wondering why payments were suddenly being withheld three months ago? No offense to the OP but I see a lot of threads about people crying about being booted from Amazon who act super surprised and innocent as to why they were targeted.

If you were getting paid in the past and earnings were accruing legitimately every month you should have been paid every month.

If you saw payments being withheld a few months ago you should have sought answers then.

They mentioned that you were misusing their trademarked terms or variations of their name in your social media pages.

So many people claim their hands are clean but under a forensic blue light they are actually up to their elbows in GSR.

Amazon Pays after 60 days of earning , which means march was due to be paid this month .....

Ok well you made a few months good income at least. Try applying again with a clean site, you never know.

I have waited long time to hear back from appeals so have patience and maybe they will have you back.

Yes, I agree. The advantage of using Amazon is the fact you have lots of niches to choose from. Other than that, let say you are into popular niches like dating, online games, health, software programs and make money online, you will realize that other affiliate / CPA networks will pay more commissions even better at much less restrictions.

You're right but for any niche on amazon you can always find another higher payout affiliate program. Just use Amazon for scraping data but promote another aff program. In some niches commission is 3x higher than amazon, so the choice is obvious, glad I move from amazon and sleep better, without fear that in a morning all my hard earn commission are gone.
