Choice between 2 types of backlinks

Hi,

I can chose between 2 types of backlinks from an authority domain.

#1 Simple link in the footer like a partner
#2 A page where I can write some content with my link in the bottom

In the first case I can get a link on all the pages so I get the DA and PA. In the second case I only get the DA, because I can't build a pyramid of link for this page (his wish).

Which one should I take ?

Sitewides links are something to avoid. It's not 2010 anymore and Google does not really like them. Footer and widget links don't have half the power of a contextual link, no matter it's from an inner page. So whether to pick number 1 or 2 is NOT even close. Also, PA/DA are bullshit metrics.

Ideally you would get a prominent do-index page with a contextual (do-follow, but buried at the bottom) link inside 650+ words of (niche relevant) content along with images or video content. If you can't get that you'd better not be paying much.

I don't often say this, but I prefer #2.

#1 will get you tons of side wide links which could negatively affect your SEO effort. I would prefer #2 because contextual links are always the best and you can't go wrong with them.

I'd take the footer link. I think you'd get more link juice.

I think the first choice is better maybe in terms of link juice, but it may harm your site.So, IMO you can try with contextual links from HQ sites.

I would go with #2 option. It is much better to follow a "safe"path than take a risk for just one backlink.

The safe option IMO is #2. As long as you insert the link on original and relevant content. Then you won't have any issue with it!

Simply go with Option #2.. Just write 1000+ Content with proper HQ images and Video and make anchor text with your link.

#2 will be much more effective in most cases as you can "persuade" users to click that link with good, catchy content. Not something you can always do in a footer, plus, people tend to ignore footers completely, well, I do, mostly.

I totally have to disagree with that.

Just dont put any anchor in them, you are fine. And get them from "quality sites".

Google check the semantic of the content around the ******** link, so the 2nd option is the best one. Not sure you'll get more link juice with the 1st option, and as it has been well said it is more risky. For the anchor you should avoid over-optimization, Google don't like that so put the link as it is in the middle of the post for example.

I would avoid the sitewide link, i took one once from a guestpost on fiverr had a clean guestblog portfolio looked in my majestic i had now 1000 links coming from this one website, the link had no effect to my ranking. I read a article a little while ago that if google determines there are multiple links coming from a page it takes the first one it finds with the first anchor text, not sure how valid this is for a sitewide link maybe it would only count the one link, but def scary to get a blast of 1000 links from one site looks spammy to me

Nowadays Google only loves contextual links, means the backlinks coming from the flow of article. Because its look natural to search engines and if you get the site wide links, we can easily known it’s a paid link.

That’s what we are suggesting only contextual links always.
