Instagram Change followers list order

Is it just me or did Instagram change the way we see the followers list. I no longer see the last person that added me.. I see the people who Im following first.

Did you notice it for both followers and followings or only one?

It looks like the the followers are newest to oldest and followings are oldest to newest for me.

You still get notifications i suppose. It's one way to check it, although it might not be that convenient.

It looks like the the followers are newest to oldest and followings are oldest to newest for me.

Yes... I have noticed for both... the followers start of with the ones Im following and followings is the oldest to the newest. maybe its a glitch?

This change will affect some bots scraping the newest 500 accounts from the top. Will be quite difficult now to scroll to the very bottom on Source Accounts with >5K users to get to the newest users. I've tried manually, and IG has timed out after about 2000 users...

But this is bad user experience design - as you mentioned, how do we quickly discover who just followed us if they disappear to the bottom. I wonder if this is just a temporary measure while IG cleans up bots... ?

I don't know if this will be temporary or not. It seems like a poor choice of design if they put oldest users first.

DM's and other processes that have been set up to interact with new users will be wiped out now.

This is starting to remind me a little bit of Google and how they update their algorithms to change SEO. It wiped out some PBN's and took out some legit sites.

We will have to figure out how to adapt and overcome it. Places like BHW, definitely, help with that.

Same here, makes scraping new users a pain, but also makes the way I track new followers a pain on my manual accounts as well. Used to just pull last 500 people everyday and add to spreadshet and remove same users

if you mean *your* new followers, just regularly scrape them from the notifications.

If you mean scrape new followers of other accounts - granted is a problem

Mine are still in order of newest to oldest for both followers and following.

Mine are still in the correct order too, maybe I didn't do the last update that's why
