Hello guys and girls,
This is my 1st post/thread ever and hopefully there are more to come!
So to start, my best friend in real life is a VIP member here and has told me about this "world" a long time ago. Although I was always "busy" with my academic studies and other stuff and haven't really taken it seriously...Little did i know...I was i could turn back time and have started alongside with him, but I know this is not possible, so i will take the next best thing which is TODAY. Hopefully i can manage to change my life for the better, as my friend did some years ago and give meaning to the phrase "Better late than never".
Small background about me
I am 29 years old and I live in Greece. I have a Masters degree in Services Managment and a small background in Sales (I loved the time i spent as a real estate agent as i am really communicative and feel comfortable around people). I currently work at a 8 - 4 office day job that covers my montly expenses (not much else). I do not love this job and this was my primar motivation that brought me here today.
I can say i am above avg smart, nothing too special though, so this has actually been my main disadvantage. Let me explain..
I have always been good at school, quick to learn new stuff and had a good level of judgment when needed, but because of that i have been pretty lazy A LOT in the past, applying minimum effort in several cases and losing interest pretty fast aswell in many cases. I haven't realized i had a "spoonfeed" mentality and how behind i was vs MAJOR competition since i actually met my best friend 8 years ago. He pushed me to become an actiontaker and a deep learner and i thank him for that. That being said, there is wayyyy more room for improvement obviously, but I can say for sure that his help and insights have been quite lifechanging for me in the way I see,approach and understand things.
Why I am here
The reason I am here is quite simple. I want to do sth for myself, be my own boss, be able to support my self, earn wayyy more than I earn today and enjoy the freedom that IM offers. In 2 words, LIVE FREE.
How do i plan to achieve that
I intend to achieve that by following 3 basic steps:
1)Study in depth one method and don't give up!
2)Try my best to maintain some balance in my life while i do this and dont give up!
3)Give it time, don't rush to quit my day job and dont give up!
I have already picked the method i am going to focus on, as i have been studying the forum for some months now, even though i just became a subscribed member. I already know i will face difficulties regarding coding/programming and stuff like that as i have 0 backround on this field, but hopefully with study, research and your help i will overcome them.
Anyway, thats it for now...I think for a "Welcome" post it's too huge already so I should stop here
