My first niche site..

Investments so far:
LTP (37/mo, still in trial)
Domain ($22, because maybe the googs likes to see more than one year)
Prepay hosting($25)
Content ($127, a little over budget)
Logo ($6 on fiverr)
Genesis + 1140 template ($99)

I bought enough content to hand-spin a couple of articles for my 2.0s.

At about $317 in, this is not a cheap hobby.

I figured out how to run WP in docker on my vps.

So I bought another $52 in filler content, and as a comparison against the other provider used.

Everyone's turn times seem to be relatively long.

10 web 2.0s are created, set with filler articles to age.

With the lags for content, and then eventual link building after the content is delivered, and then web2.0s linked, this takes a lot of time (not effort, so far).

I may select 3 more niches, and try a few different things in the hope that in a month or two a couple of them are earning and can iterate improvements. maybe do a niche a week.

for the next one i think i will find an expired domain.

One more question: if i were to do a database site (like the bluehatseo kind), would I just point it at a couple of the web2.0s, or would i want to launder through a 301?

I've identified two more niches.. by the end of the week should have my content orders out and domains procured.

obtained domains ($22) and ordered content for one ($50) from a third provider. Haven't received any of my content orders yet, but haven't expected that as quoted TATs were long.

Considering rankerx for automated 2.0s behind the manuals. Would be great to hear from others who have used it.

Received content.. loaded most of it into WP, modified to standards supplied by yoast. Have the WP container running w/ the https_portal container, so everything has ssl. Google bot has already hit a couple of pages.

Loaded yoast seo plugin, got posted pages to green seo, green or orange on readability. updating w/ pics and youtube videos where appropriate. probably should add sidebar w/ niche authority links.

next up: logos for the two new sites, post to web 2.0s i've ccreated, schedule remaining content.

question: should I just put google analytics on it, or is there a simple log analyzer package that you guys like to use?

Google analytics is sufficient.

Adsense is fine to go with, especially if you have little budget to spare.
Yes creating your own ebook, software etc is profitable, it comes with a cost.

G/L.

all content uploaded and on-page seo'd. added some sitewide authority obls and categories for the blog posts. The easiest (lowest kc score) kws are pages.

Also posted 2 of the 2.0s, will roll out one or two a day for the rest of the week. the gbot is all over it and about half is indexed so far.

Logos for other two sites are in progress and should get content for one soon.

Still adding 2.0s day by day. .this is fairly tedious.

Have you considered something like Autofill Magic to help speed up the Web 2.0 creation? It might save you a lot of headaches. Just an idea :-)

Its not so much the account creation as the posting of bullshit to them later. I will probably buy fcs networker in the next day or two- doing this stuff by hand is too boring to be sustainable.

The content for my second site is delayed; the writers overpromised on TAT and can't deliver.
