yahoo offer cheap domain
but you must remember to transfer it to another registrar before the expiration date, or they will charge you big amount of $.

i use namecheap bcos they accept paypal - they throw free privacy guard with each domain which in itself normally costs u something additional plus there is discount coupons to save more money. Might not be the cheapest but i like their service and never had any probs with them.
