Create a Brand by Shopify Drop-shipping ?

I've been doing a lot of research over Shopify drop-shipping, and the main question I keep having now is if you can create a brand drop-shipping.

If you create a niche store, and name it BestElectronics, revolving around consumer electronics (headphone, phones, video games, etc), how do you create a brand out of BestElectronics if all the products you offer for sale, have already been produced and branded by various manufacturers?

I understand that you can provide value by offering optimal service, shipping times, price etc etc, but you don't really create a name for yourself. You wouldn't be able to put the BestElectronics logo on the product, and I think it would look weird for the customer to see the BestElectronics logo on the invoice, package, and slip, but a different logo on the product (from the manufacturer), but that could just be me (please let me know if this is common, and how brands are generally created dropshipping!)

The only ideas I have for this, are either:

1. Find a supplier that provides non-branded products, enabling you to put your logo (or whatever branding), and brand it yourself. But that has issues in itself:
-I don't know where to find suppliers that offer non-branded products
-To be perfectly honest, I don't know whether or not putting your logo on a non- branded product is legal/allowed, but I feel like it's not

2. Apparel. Find a supplier offering non-branded apparel and put your own design on it, and brand it.
But the same issues from #1, apply to this one.

I feel like I'm not fully informed, and there's still more for me to learn so any help/advice is appreciated!

You wouldn't be able to put the BestElectronics logo on the product

I Have Been In Your Shoes in the past and know exactly what you mean. Well, you just need a little more budget to build your own brand. Find all the items that you'd like to sell and ask the seller if he can provide OEM/WhiteLabel. Basically, you design your own logo and ask them to print it on their product. They'll be happy to do it on their product/covers/boxes,etc., There's a MOQ(Mininum Order Quantity) though. For ex, 2000 pieces and you should be paying them upfront and you can either import them all to your country and ship it yourself or ask them to send directly to your customer's addresses so as to bypass all the taxes and duties and of course the shipping fee.

I understand what you mean, but I can't do a MOQ right now, I'm looking into complete dropshipping (having no physical inventory), which makes things a bit more difficult.

I think apparel is the way to go for now, it's the only idea I have that I can see a brand coming to fruition as a result. The main problems then are:

-saturated market, crazy competition
-Don't know where to find suppliers that offer non-branded apparel (I haven't really started researching this, I can imagine it shouldn't be too difficult)
-Not sure if it is completely legal to be able to stick a design and logo on a shirt and call it my own brand

AE has the biggest list of suppliers for apparels so it's not that hard to find your supplier.

I haven't faced any legal issues but if you're too much worried, register a business under your brand name. Simple.

OP do you understand the brands like Target or Walmart? They are retailers, and the branding is in the low prices and shopping experience for the consumers. Look at it this way, Amazon is an illusion and they brand themselves as a money making platform. The illusion is you can make money by buying or selling through amazon only. 99% of the listings get little to no traffic and little to no sales. Yes, some niches have very few drip sales from smart people searching for the best deal, but those are usually the ones with rock bottom prices and little to no margins.

For you, I'd recommend some sales copy psychology to help you understand why brands like Target can make commercials and deceive people into spending their money at that store. In the USA, sales psychology is power and if you know how to use it, you don't fall for 99.99% of the BS posted on here for "methods". You can use whatever eCommerce setup you want, but branding yourself is an entirely different beast all together. You would want a custom SSL enabled domain name, with custom logos and shit while you still sell Nikes like everyone else. When you can't win a price war, you want to aim for customer engagement experience to be greater than big corporations. It works in the food / service industry and will always work well. When you can't beat someone at lowest pricing, you can beat them at licking your customer's butt clean (only as long as you have mastered sales psychology). Power is a perception of a vast amount of resources, the illusion only works if you can get ppl to agree that the power is real (again psychology manipulation).
