How many are you following per hour?

By hand I could follow 100 in 20 minutes no problem, but I set massplanner at 10-30 follows per hour. I'm looking to re-evaluate my settings.

I get block on 40 per hour.

Although I am not sure if this is per hour or the period is shorter.

I am manually doing around 150 to 200 per hour, sometimes more. Is there a difference between using a bot and going manual when it comes to number of actions per hour that is safe?

50-55 for me.
The norm is to keep it under 60.
Sure you can go for more, but that doesn't mean you should.

how old is your account?

It depends on all accounts. No matter if they are old, new or warmed up. Some can do 40/hr, others 160/hr.

Now, the more you follow in one hour, the quicker that Instagram's algorithm will catch on to you. What happens after that is murky. Maybe a 24 hour temporary block on following, to diminished engagement to banning your account (as a last resort).

What is it that you want to gain from following 1,000+ per day?

Usually around 30-40/hr.

You can do a lot more manually, but that's because it's manual... you can get away with more because it's not an automated system with perfectly timed intervals (No matter what MP settings you use, it's still obvious to MP it's not real)

Going 50 per hour manually and they deactivated my account, guess that because of its age though...

I'm emailing them to try to get back and now they requests me to send a picture holding a written code. any solution for it without revealing my identity?

Gotta do things slowly if I can get my account back hmm.

Looks like your account is deactivated because you are using pictures of some person that is not you.

In that case, just change your niche.

Well, it's true that the picture wasn't me because it was a puppy LOL. Btw, I read some threads and assumed that they auto send that "written code" verification mail to banned accounts which reached out to their support. Maybe I should start over with new accounts and new niches then...
