irrelevant site with prowerful backlink or relevant site with common link?

hi guys, plane to buy some expired domain for my niche to rank and go out of sandbox faster.

but finding the site relevant to my niche is not a easy task, there are mainly two kinds of sites, irrelevant site with prwerful backlink, like books /news , another site is relevant site with common link? some of them are even carry with spam backlink.

feel confused with these things . hope someone can answer me

As far as I know, Google will make a new site benefit less than it deserve, like you rank high in SERPs but never see the real traffic.

If you are looking for expired domains yourself and it seems you're not an expert, you'll either get a really weak domain thats free, more likely a better domain that's penalized, but you'll never find a domain that's really worth to hunt for to use as a money site. All really strong sites either get taken by professionals or sold on auctions. The investment of time and especially money if you want to do proper research with the right tools won't be worth it imo. Future proofing your site is nice with niche relevant domains, plus if the domain is good you can eventually even get relevant traffic to your moneysite

Why can't use the both? They both are good - One helps with its relevancy while the other one helps with its powerful back links. The only thing you should consider is whether its penalized or not. About the domain that has spammy back links, you can simply refuse them without hesitation no matter how great metrics they have got.

You will need to look at the actual links to get an idea how much ranking power they can pass to your site. It might be tempting to go for expired domains with 200+ RD, but be sure to take time looking at the finer details.

If it's for your money site, and it's somewhat of an authority site, I recommend a niche relevant site that's aged with as few backlinks as possible. You don't want a website with the possibility of a penalty. Of course, you'll never know for sure if it was penalized in the past. But you just want the age and domain name relevancy.
