What the reasoning behind multiple simcards if they have unlimited txt?

What the reasoning behind multiple simcards if they have unlimited txt?

in the Uk, unlimited means 5000 txt's. Now because we are sending messages longer then the usual 160 characters, each message we send is sending as 3 messages.

so if we send 100 txt's to 100 businesses, we are actually sending 300 because of the character length of the txt, thus by using multiple mobile simcards we are able to send out a lot more txt's.

do you get what i mean?

Please elaborate on the sim cards?? If I already have unlimited texting on my phone why don't I just use that??

Wouldn't it be possible to just use Google Voice or Whatsapp?

Explained in the post above yours. here in the uk, unlimited text's are really 5000 and some are 3000 sending limit.

I'll try and make it simpler :

We write a text message that go's over the (txt character limit 160) by going over that our txt message we send takes 3 messages to send to one business mobile number.

we are sending 100 txt messages a day, and because we are using 3 messages at a time, this is equaling 300 messages a day. by the time we have sent txt messages for 10 days, we have hit a 3000 limit on certain simcards. thus the need for extra sim cards. Yes some have 5000 sending limit and some have 3000 sending limit.

In the UK unlimited doesn't mean actually unlimited messages. they have set number which is the above.

Hope that clears it up.

Wouldn't it be possible to just use Google Voice or Whatsapp?

Haven't tried them, but worth a shot.

Thanks for the little twist. I started with email and phone calls in my locality, just 20 so far to have a feel. No contracts yet, but 1 to 3 possible close. I'm planning to raise the volume as soon as my website & mobile site are done :). I might give the sms option as try well. Nice to see some are having success with mobile site mktg.

I haven't even started with emails or cold calling so that's something for me to move onto.

Well i wish you Good luck on your own venture. :)

Hi. Thanks for this thread. I have two questions for you. Do you include a link to the simple website in your text? How do the leads contact you and pay for the services? Thanks.

Yea, that makes sense. Thanks for clearing it up.

Glad that was cleared up for you.

How did you particularly find businesses with mobile numbers?

I don't know if your in the UK or not, but here in the UK each household receives a offline book "Yellow pages" which has thousands of businesses advertisements, a lot of these businesses add there mobile number.

There is also yelp.com which you can find phone numbers for businesses (mobile)

In the UK we have quite a few trade magazines that have small businesses, which have websites but are all on the go. So they literally use there mobile numbers quite a lot, which is why they list them on there advertisements. Obviously if your not from the UK, i'm sure you can research if your area has trade magazines, something similar to yellow pages.
