Does all version have cookie for remeber a user if we dont want to trigger it on users who already been clicking back once?
For example you have a blog ppl visit often and come back to. If this alwas triggers it will get them annoyed. But i would like it to trigger one time per user (browser) or maybe ip then never agin on that ip / browser.

Is it possible?
 
I got this plugin and it is working very good .. as advertised .... also great support

In it's current release the script is only using a session cookie. I spoke with my partner and confirmed that we can add a feature to choose the type of cookie used; whether it be a session cookie or based on an amount of time. Will update the thread once this feature has been implemented.

Edit: i see that this script can only hijack the "back button", how about if the visitor close the page?

Can the plugin open an affiliate link as a popunder instead of just redirecting in the same window?

At the moment the plugin is only able to hijack the back button. I thought about adding the ability to automatically load your links based on if a user was headed to the close button on a browser/tab but I realized that by the time your page would load, the tab or browser would already be closed. The only potential option would be to try and see if we could integrate an exit pop should someone head towards the close button in the browser. I have seen some scripts trigger with what they call exit intent but it would take a bit of testing to see if we could include an optional exit pop for the sole purpose of closing a browser or tab.

The plugin does not have that functionality at this time. With the frequency of browser updates attempting to fix popup/popunder scripts I don't think we would add something like that to the plugin as supporting that feature would be complicated. If you want something that does work at the moment shoot me a PM and I can help you out.
 
Disclaimer: OP was kind enough to let me try out the advanced version of BackJacker. So, without further ado:

Installing and getting it up and running was easy enough. You have to first register your domain in the member's area, then you'll receive the licence (which is added to the plugin in the WP site). There's a couple of vids there, so check 'em out first to know what to expect.

You're able to configure the plugin to either choose a random page/post, or simply add your own. You're also able to choose any number of back clicks. I also liked the auto update which is one less hassle (wish most WP plugins had this option), and to ignore bots (i.e. Google).

This plugin not only lowers the bounce rate, but I was able to include an offer page, and even include a page that redirects with an affiliate link!

No real issues, but something the dev might consider. The page/post are docked near the top. I had to keep dragging them down next to the global settings everytime I saved. Like I said, it's no biggie.

Thank you for the wonderful review! Based on your suggestion we are pushing out an update within the next few minutes to make the page/post selection boxes maintain their position while scrolling on the page. You can still drag them around if they need to be moved but it will make accessing them without dragging a lot more convenient.

In addition, this update allows cookies to be set to either session or time based so that if you have return visitors you are not always back jacking them!

if your plugin has the ability to hijack the close button, and redirect it directly to another url, please notify me.
