[METHOD] How to make money with Tumblr

Hey everyone, im only going to be going over the basics and the rest im sure you guys can do on your own (e.g getting lots of followers).
I set up a quick blog on Tumblr for this method and i might even continue to build it. The blog is http://hotstuffandthings.tumblr.com/ and the reason its Adult is because thats a big market on Tumblr.
I felt i should share this method and hopefully help some newbies seeing how this is actually a really simple method.

Disclaimer:
I advise you to choose a niche that involves lots of pictures. (e.g adult content).

So you have read the link above and now you know the basics? Great
Step 1.
Find some nice HD pictures and download them/get the link of the image source.

Step 2.
Head over to ImageTwist and sign up. ImageTwist is a website where you upload your images and they pay you for your views, this is different from sites like ****** because there are no waiting periods inbetween you link and the picture, which means you will earn more money.

Step 2.
Now upload those images onto ImageTwist and get the link.

Step 3.
Head over to somewhere like https://bitly.com/ and create an account and shorten the link. (This is so we can track how many clicks we get).

Step 4.
Upload an image onto your Tumblr blog and where it says content source put your shortened ImageTwist link. (This means whenever someone clicks on the image it gets directed to your ImageTwist link).

Step 5.
Finish uploading and spread your Tumblr everywhere, reblog peoples post (similar to your blog), like people photos, etc.

Thats it, fairly simple but a genius idea when you can start scaling, creating more blogs, getting more followers etc.

Tips for newbies.
-Make sure you fill out those tags as much as possible.
-Read the link to the other thread i showed you.
-Follow, Reblog and Like other peoples blogs that are related to yours.
-Act Now.

For those that aren't comfortable with using the adult niche... another great way to monetize tumblr is with food blogs! Just post the fattiest food photos you can haha. That's what I do and it works.

But OP, how well does imagetwist pay and more importantly... do they actually pay?

How well do they pay? Im guessing you mean at what rates?
They pay around $3 for 1000 viewers, which is decent for an image hoster.
And i believe they do pay, but i have heard 1 story (out of many positives) that he got banned before he reached the minimum payout. But like i said, that is the only negative review i have seen so far.

For others who dont want to do adult related things, you could monetize with AdSense, ****** and many more. But Adult content is a massive 'market' on Tumblr

how much do you earn per day using this method??

Another tip don't follow people who blog what you blog, because most of the time they wont follow back. follow people who like the pictures of a person who blog what you blog. You will kind of see results quick.

With the current site I just set up? A few cents, it was created just over 2 hours ago. With a blog I set up a while ago, I was making $7-12 a day. With only a few minutes a day, if I expanded and made more blogs all linking to each other and with things like adBrite or AdSense you could make as much as you want. You only get out what you put in.

I've never had any problems receiving bitly with adult content and sending out with bit.ly

I blew up one of my Tumblr blogs with over 500 hits (today) just based on doing one thing that you haven't mentioned. I wrote up something on making money with Tumblr but it got passed around with no thanks to my effort so... yea.

Here is a freebie. Don't be concerned at all with followers. It seems important but it's not.

OP, I signed under your aff. link. Any ideas where to collect pictures? Pictures I mean adult ones. BTW it seems that image twist only allow adult content, I cannot select anything other than NSFW.

Hey,
I would suggest going for a targeted niche, (e.g Emo chicks) and update regularly.
Where to get the images, I got some by reblogging others, google images and you usd find a bunch of websites with free photos. There are also bulk image downloadeds out there to download which can help.
There are other image hosters that pay, a quick google search should find you some, one is Shareapic.net which is clean, but only pays $0.22 for 1000 clicks.

EDIT: Nevermind, figured it out myself.

Aren't most of these pictures copyrighted? Will imagetwist get ya for that most likely, or don't they really care? And how many visits from the same IP do they accept within 24hrs?

Thanks for this I tried this method with a niche and so far it's doing ok I believe. The first day I made $.05 and today I made $.17. I'm very happy with how things are going I might do some other stuff to scale it up though THANKS!
