How to verify your US paypal account!!!

Ok since one it's my birthday today and no one want's to send me a gift I will share a method of mine with you. I really don't know if this is working anymore, but I got my money out so if it is I'm happy to help someone. So I will split this in steps so that anyone can do this.

Tutorial on how to setup your PayPal account to be verified without having
to spend money. You acctually get $0.20 in your bank account which you get for free. So with this method you will get a free:

Credit Card
Bank Account
Verified PayPal Account

Step 1:
Sign Up at Paypal if you do not already have an account there.

Step 2:
Sign Up at Netspend if you do not have an account already.

Step 3:
Confirm both your, NetSpend/ PayPal account if you have not done so already be checking for and email with the verification information.

Step 4:
Go to Netspend and login to your account. Now hover your mouse over the Add/Manage Money Button at the top, go to the bottom of the list that pops up named PayPal Transfers. Now you will see a screen like this:



Step 5:
Now go to PayPal, click the Edit Profile button right next to your email at the top left hand corner, Now click "Bank Accounts" under the Financial Information section. Follow the steps from NetSpend and wait a day or two. Then goto your netspend account and then hover your mouse over My Account, and click "Transaction History". Now you will see something like this:



Step 6:
Now go to PayPal and click the Confirm my Bank Account Link that is on the page when you first log in to your PayPal. Now put in the information of the 2 small amount they put into your Bank Account. Then your PayPal account will they be verified without spending a penny. Like I said you acctually make money with this . Enjoy!

one question - is netspend only for americans or can anyone else use it ?

well netspend can only send in the VCC to US adresses but hey you don't need to enter valid info... I mean it will take some time till their VCC comes back to them and they close your acc... In the meantime you should be able to verify your acc... I live in bosnia and it worked like a charm

Interesting, so every single netspend account gets it's own unique bank account number?

Could be a way to make US bank accounts for non-US people. Just use a mail forwarding service to receive the vcc.

First, happy belated birthday to the OP. But I have a question for you, do you match the name and address for both pp and netspend acct?

Coz it's been 4 days since I added bank account and finally gaypal emailed me saying that the deposit they tried to make was returned. It could be the name is not matched since I had different names for both acct, or probbly gaypal/netspend caught on to this method. OP please clarify.

Well I don't really remember... but I wouldn't say that I have used the same name on both of those... I tried too to get one of my acc verified a few days ago and paypal raturned me an email that they couldn't deposit the money... I kinda think that netspend screwed something up and that is why this doe3sn't work anymore.. That or to many people made an acc just to verify their paypal so they disabled it

So sad.. I guess 100s of people from BHW just signed up for netspend acct and they suspected something and disabled it. wow, saturated that soon? Well, I guess I'm going back to spending money to get US bank account or create one myself and wait 2 weeks. jeez.

This method is months old.

Was reported not working, or low chance of working around August.
